I am having a blast with Team Regicide.
It’s the only game mode that is a slayer mode but still has some objective. The benefit here is that you don’t have people padding their K/D from objective games, but you still have points of interest. These points of interest (the Kings) make it so you have centralized fights but still gain progress towards a victory condition by getting kills.
You see entire teams brawl it out far more frequently in Team Regicide than in Team Slayer.
Even the mechanics around the king are really cool. You get bonuses (overshield, damage boost) for a sustained presence on the field as the king. However, you lose king if you don’t have the most points, so kings are rewarded for staying in the thick of the fight. Really cool design.
