I am enjoying the hell out of the halo 5 beta, played for about 11 hours straight yesterday, cant say I’ve done that in a long time, not even when halo MCC came out. It plays extremely well, looks fantastic, and feels like Halo, but please hear me out 343i… There are a few things (that really shouldn’t be too inconvenient to tweak or fix) that I and seemingly many other people just cant come to peace with, despite how solid the overall gameplay is.
Spartan Chatter/post-match Bro-Downs: I get that Spartan IV’s are more human and social than our badass, beloved Spartan II’s. But this is Halo, and terms like “snipes”, “nade spam” and stuff like that just really pulls me out of the experience. I dont wanna hear these iconic warriors talking like teenage gamers. PLEASE make it toggle-able, or make them sound more badass and less “gamerish”. And the same goes for the post match bro downs, just not how I want to see Spartans acting.
BR Scope: The overall BR design is pretty good looking, but that scope is SO not something I wanna see in Halo. It looks like a red dot scope right out of Cod or Battlefield, and just really bums me out everytime I pick up a BR, makes me want to avoid them cause of how ugly that scope makes the iconic Battle Tifle look.
