Love the new music but still feels like Halo but completely different

I was listening to it on waypoint and I could hear some of the old music in it that was altered and the new sound and I like it feels like I am waking up to a whole new world like master chief is doing in the beginning of halo 4 trailer. It’s like as if the he knows he is waking up with years that have past and is waking up to a new enemy to face. Overall I love it and hope they bring so electric guitar music for some songs and some dubstep like this for action scenes and heavy battle scenes.

Anyways also i like the beat of the new music feels like it’s got some halo 2 roots of the beat and action feel but still has that soft mysterious feel like Halo CE had. Anyways that was my input and was wondering how did you guys feel to the new halo music?

I love it, I really think Neil actually hit the music we wanted right on the money, it is new, but it still has the feel, epicness, and scope that we all have come to expect from a Halo game. I have several reasons why I love Halo, here is a short list: Skill-based multiplayer, rich and compelling story, Forge, and MUSIC. The soundtrack in Halo is unlike any I have ever heard in a video game and this new music really seems to capture the same essence that Halo has always had. I would actually like to thank right now, Neil for composing this awesome music and 343 for finding this guy. Slow Clap

I actually really love the music. It’s so familiar and different at the same time. Niel Davidge, you are welcome here.

well actually i do love Mass Effects music design in the sense they are way more dramtic with music but for halo they definitely made it still feel like halo and still be great music. after theat update with the multiplayer i was getting concerned it would be another big failure game like ME3 with an ending that just wanted you to the nearest opject and hurl it out a window.

Im especially excited to see how they use the new monk chants that were used in the “Halo 4: composing wars” video. SO ominous. I can tell that they might use a synthesizer over it.

People were expecting Classic Halo,But remember With Each Halo the Music Changes in Tone and this is Fresh, mysterious and Amazing and feels like Halo

2:15 to 3:00 feels like im making my escape off of Forward onto Dawn and running through explosions and ultimately entering the shield world and emerging the new enemy ill face

I don’t get why people didn’t like the ending to ME3, I actually really liked it and thought it was a fitting end for the series, with a twist at the end.

Just listen to 0:00 to about 1:00, those monk chants sound so frikkin’ ominous, I already know that Master Chief is going to encounter some close calls in Halo 4 just from that music.

If they put dubstep in it i’ll kill a kitten/puppy/gremlin. -__-

I too believe that this guy hit the nail on the head. More over, the new music has actually made me excited for Halo 4.

Digital music? Sure. Dubstep? Hell no.

(But dubstep is digital. No, dubstep is what you get when you smash two computers together.)

Don’t mind me, just having an argument with myself, I think I will win.

He means no wub wub… which was confirmed to not be in by the Q&A  I think that choir was only a part of the full song. Like i said i can picture some layering of electronica over it. Not that i want that anyway, im just thinking of the original music we heard for the first time (slideshow).

Dubstep is a legitimate form of music that requires skill to produce well.

I was just attempting to tell a joke, I saw that his GT had “Caboose” in it and the Caboose part of my brain took over.

I’m not saying it isn’t, I’m just making a joke, no need to get testy.

No worries. I was just hoping you weren’t one of those people who hates on certain kinds of music just because it’s cool to do so.

I have actually been guilty of listening to Skrillex once in a while, a little wub wub is nice now and then, but not all the time, I would go insane.

As long as they include the music in Infinity or Spartan Ops more than ever then I’m a happy man.

I don’t think dubstep really suits Halo myself. It’s a big brash American video game, big orchestras and heavy electric guitars suit it totally.

The Marty orchestral scores are the music that defines Halo. Songs like Peril still just kill me. Neil Davidge is an amazing musician and composer (and a personal favourite of mine) but he has some huge boots to fill.
