I love the fact that 343 is using community made maps for matchmaking now, it’s probably the best thing they could have ever done… 6 new btb maps? That’s huge! I get bored playing the same maps over and over again so it’s nice and refreshing to see something different! Props to u guys! Hopefully someone gets a job out of the deal lmao. Praying these maps stay in matchmaking forever tho, and not just for the week or something… now onto slayer and all the other 4v4 game types, please!
Side note: I’ve never done forge and I’m not creative enough to try, but can u make warzone maps? Having some community made war zone maps added would be pretty amazing as well, in my opinion…

I think you can forge warzone maps, but you can’t put AI or bases anywhere. However I’d rather leave BTB to the community and warzone to 343.
Yes that makes sense… would love to see community maps everywhere in arena tho, not just social… the community has made some pretty amazing maps!
I played on Scavenger and I thought that it was a really well made map with a decent layout too.

I also think that this is a great idea from 343 - well done!
The only problem is that because of region lock I never get a match of it. RIP
I really enjoy the new maps. There are some minor things I want added but if 343i can add more maps into other playlists it will give the game a fresh feel.

Yeah, these maps are awesome. I’ve been playing nothing but BTB since they dropped and have no plans of playing anything else.
On that note, I said when they first launched BTB in Halo 5 that I wasn’t impressed and that I would stick to Reach for BTB even though I love Halo 5 … I just didn’t like Halo 5’s BTB … but um … well, it’s grown on me. It’s my go-to mode now. Halo 5’s BTB is fantastic. So I’ve changed me tune.

I do have a complaint tho … I don’t play as often as I would like, so I havent been able to play all the maps yet, just saying as a whole it’s a GREAT idea to let the community make maps and get them put into matchmaking. I would LOVE being able to play slayer with like 20 maps in the playlist, to break up the monotony… supremely great start tho, looking forward to these over the updates honestly.
I’m also a classic halo player, so anytime I can play a remade map of the olden days is a treat!
I have to kind of disagree. I get tired of playing on all the obviously-forged maps made by the community (The three exceptions being Scavenger, Viking, and the Sandtrap remake. I LOVE those maps), but I would like to see at least some actual maps instead of ones made in Forge.
I’ve only played on 2 of the new maps so far and I’m already enjoying btb way more than when it was first released.

Community forged maps aren’t DLC, otherwise, every Halo game would be considered to have an infinite amount of it.

Well, alright. But no more tune changing!
JK I actually have had a similar road with H5 btb. It was too sweaty for me to enjoy, and the maps didn’t tickle my fancy. With the new maps and looser restrictions, it feels great again. I don’t know how to describe it besides it feels… Like it should.
I like it that they are using community maps, however I don’t like the fact that we have more community maps than we do dev maps.
Does anyone else end up playing on Eagle Square 7/10 times? It’s a great map, but does get old fast if you get it too often.
The community maps have been a great addition to playlists that were getting stale. On another note the title of this thread really confused me at first lol

It feels like I tend to get stuck in loops of getting the same map all the time, then it will change during the next day.
