Microsoft/Xbox now owns Call of Duty Warzone and that is their money making Battle Royale. They will not create competition with their own companies. Halo Infinite BR is almost guaranteed to never happen.

A battle royal will not save Halo Infinite from dying. That community just latches onto whatever is new until something else comes out or they get tired and go back to Fortnite’s trashy system. At most it would just give Infinite a slight momentary pulse.
Halo has never been driven by a single mode. It’s long running history has been supported by an excellent Forge mode and Custom game creation with a browser, which Infinite is currently missing all of it. As it stands Infinite’s days are already numbered because it launched incomplete. So unless those systems get introduced soon, are well fleshed out, are bug free, and accompanied by a huge swath of bug fixes and the game modes that support the custom games like KoTH and Infection, Halo Infinite will stagnate to death.

if you read it good there told also that the deal is compleet next year between july 2022 - july 2023.
and there are a lot off things there need to be done and some other country’s need to aprove it also the deal.
Yeah, if it doesn’t go through then BR may be on the table again for Halo. For now Microsoft and their influence most likely means the acquisition will happen and CoD Warzone will be Microsoft’s BR.
