There is preorder bonuses on pc, you just had to buy through amazon - similar to past Xbox halo preorder bonuses they were only available from specified retailers

Yeah feeling a little cheated that there were no pre-order bonuses for Steam users unless you ordered from a specific retailer. On top of that, Game Pass subscribers get a discount on in game credits for the shop, which I am a Game Pass subscriber - however Steam users don’t get the discount either.

How were you cheated? Steam never advertised having preorder bonuses? I just googled who did and since I’m playing on pc I went for the Amazon preorder.

Why would Steam users get a discount? It’s a benefit of game pass.

Here in Australia, some companies did have pre-order bonuses, but most were sold out very quickly. If you put a h in front of this link, this was one of them -

The reason Game Pass customers don’t get discounts for micro-transactions via Steam is because Steam takes a cut of all games and micro-transactions sold via their platform. Microsoft would therefore be selling at a discounted rate AND having to share their revenue with Steam.

For your health and sanity I would suggest to stop caring, unless you travelled the world last year and bought all kinds of toys, candy, and other unhealthy stuff to get all unlockable ‘goodies’.

Yeah I was pretty salty about this too. I pre-ordered just like the folks who pre-ordered physical copies on Amazon. For some reason Microsoft decided my pre-order wasn’t worthy.

So you want Steam, made by Valve, to honour a subscription service that’s provided by a rival store/company? You want Microsoft to give you a discount for stuff but not on their store - so another company gets a 30% cut of the transaction on top of the discount?

That’s not happening in either direction, lol.

if you buy credits in the microsoft store (since you said you had gamepass) they will show up in your steam copy of the game since it is tied to your microsoft user name. you dont need to link anything and you will still get a discount
