Love Halo Wars 2 (constructive feedback)

Really enjoying the Beta, played over 30+ games so far. So I thought id share some of my personal feedback.

Marines - I really feel marines need a SLIGHT nerf, either build time or being tech 2 to train them?
For the majority of games iv played, the strat seems to be spam marines.

Gaus Warthogs - I like how Warthogs arnt a scout unit anymore, but a decent fast core unit. Would like to see Gaus get a SLIGHT buff.

3v3 - haven’t seen any info on this but im hoping 3v3 is available for all the gametypes.

Longer Domination games - 5,000 points needs be changed to 8,000/10,000
Games iv played we win in 15min and noody gets any good units because the game is over before people can make tanks ect…

Mac Blast - Really needs a buff, Mac 3 should instant kill atleast 3 marine squads or a tank.

Pelican Transport - Why was this taken out? :frowning: would love to see pelicans return as a unit or something. I like the Pelican support Leader ability.

Base health - Base health needs to be lowered, They have waaaaaay too much. Took 2 mac blasts and 4 vulture nukes to blow up a base. Even a fully upgraded base shouldn’t have that much health.

If you focus only on spamming Marines no wonder you never seen any Endgame Units. :wink: Have seen from that Endgame Airunit to a full upgraded Scorpion nearly every Endgame Unit except the T5 Commander Ability.

Not necessarily my team, but every game iv played. They are really good for the build time and cost.

If you play someone with a decent tank build Marines aren’t effective. However in this new game mode they can be overpowered for inexperienced players as you take all zones quickly and have quick games. With my play style it usually always gets to late game, max upgrade units. It depends on your play style. I agree with all of your other points however. As long as they allow micro in the full game I’ll be happy

Do you not know what micro is???. Controlling your units left and right making them harder to hit. Lol

Domination Games would by the way take als longer without increasing the Pointlimit, but making some vital dominationpoints better fortified. Example: Imagine Point A is so heavily guarded you cant capture it with either a real “mass” of units or at least some tanks/air units.

Micro is about intricate control of your units, often to the detail of a single unit during a battle - not micro transactions…

This…this just shows how much I dislike the Halo Wars 1 fanboys. (laughs for about an hour) Dude, mirco basically means managing your army. Ah, OMG this is too funny, this just shows what Halo Wars 1 has done to these people. They’ve never played a real strategy game they’ve been playing in the kiddie pool acting like adults XD.

What this halo really needs that the last one lacked is highly customizable skirmish mode. The ability to play 2v2, 3v3, with nothing but A.I. lets players really experiment!

For a moment I wasn’t sure if he meant highly customizable like picking your own color and base start location but now i’m a bit confused.

I thought he meant play with 5 other a.i. in a 3v3 standard which is in Halo Wars 1

A potential improvement I have is slightly increase the amount of power you receive from the generators, even with a few built I often find my self low on power. Don’t know if its just me or my poor building style.

I’d first like to say I’m enjoying the beta alot.
For raising domination point limit I think 6500-7000 would be fine
My major concern is the 60/80 troop cap is too low. Not sure if it’s for domination but I’d like to see 100/120 or even more. I really want MASSIVE battles. This one might just be me.
I think 3v3 online and especiallyagainst ai in the beta would really help us test the game and see what we can actually do.
The graphics are not bad bit I don’t think they’re good either. Just somewhere in the middle. I feel like they could and probably will be improved.
I do like the two different resources we need but I feel like the energy from generators/extractors generates a but too slow.
I’d also like to see jackles elephants and other unit types make a return in HW2.
The controls imo are a fine setup just need to be fine to tuned cause they are a bit “clunky”. not sure how to describe it.
What do you all think of these suggestions?

Have you upgraded them? I am not sure if i made mistakes but at 2 upgraded i felt oke i need some more of em, while 3 upgraded felt “wait wait wait i cant spend all that stuff”

yeah might be building style, I think also getting the power things on the map speed it up?

^^What do you mean by this? Halo Wars 1 was micro intensive, it was the difference between a good player and a bad player
