I completed the monthly challenge last night and did not recieve the experience. I saw that I had new armor options available, then a family member logged in under an account without Live access and was logged out myself. When I logged back in the experience and armor upgrades were gone, but the challenge was still marked as completed. How do I get back the lost XP?
XP is not lost or created, only transferred.
In any case, it was your fault you lost your XP, not 343’s. And no, you can’t regain lost XP…because it isn’t lost. You just ‘used it’ to level up, except you couldn’t level up. But XP was still used.

That’s where you are wrong:
I played a couple of games today, needed 12k XP to get to SR100, when there was 3/4k left i played another game, which should have ranked me up, but instead of going from SR99 to SR100 i went from SR99 back to SR99 with 3399 XP.
So yes, you can actually lose XP, read about this bug earlier this week and now it just happened to me.
Its only 60k XP that i’ve lost so no biggie, but things like these should have a priority with being fixed, if it happens a lot people might quit over it.
