Lost voice, again

So recently I found out that I can not talk to my teammates unless they were friends. I thought it was no big deal since it was I and three friends, yet they could hear the other people just fine, I couldn’t.

We went from BigTeam to Team Slayer and we had a few games, one in particular WE could hear the other team practically the whole time. On BigTeam I never heard the other team, ever.

Either something went screwy, or my xbox is playing games with me! lol

You need to check your family or private settings I forgot but one of them has an option that you can’t hear anyone unless they are your friends. You heard the other team because they count as sounds from the game not other people since there not on your team that’s why they come out of the tv unless the settings are changed, also you couldn’t hear the guys on the other team because you have to be near enemies to hear them when they talk.

Also recheck your in-game Audio/Video Settings, and failing that, see if you’re mute-banned.

I know I"m not mutebanned, one of my friends asked other people if I was muted and I wasn’t.

Short and dirty:

  1. Check Family settings on Xbox
  2. Check voice settings on Xbox/Reach
  3. Check for muteban
  4. Check headset/mic
  5. ???
  6. Profit

This man’s got it.

I haven’t turned on my xbox since I made the first post, but here’s what I do know. Halo Reach settings are fine, I checked them before hand, my mic and headset works fine since I can talk to my friends, I am not mute banned since I don’t show to other people as muted.

The only thing I haven’t checked is family, and why it would be touched is beyond me. My xbox is only used by me in my dorm room.

Sorry for the double post, I just got done with a few rounds of Infection, found out yes, I am mute banned. The guys that my friend asked probly thought it was funny to say no I wasn’t

Not sure what I did, at most I would have complained about the people either being AFK or leaving the match, then the other team getting all the power weapons and vehicles, then commencing the spawn killing. I had one spire match of assault and I had the most kills of the team. 6 kills, two people on the other team had 32 and 36 at most.

So that’s what I get for complaining about playing fair and trying to keep things even.
I may sound like a wimp when I say this. But if I ever see my team winning by a great bit, either that being 2 to 0 on CTF or Assualt, or us winning by more than 35 out of 100, I pull back to at least let the other team have a bit less challenge and have fun. I know how it is to be on the other end of a game like that.

Yeah, actually i got a bad reputation on Xbox Live because people get mad at me after losing. They put random stuff like “Quit Early” or “Trash Talk” to make them feel better, jerks.

I even got a threat once by some guy, saying “That’s it, you guys are done, go buy yourselves some new accounts…” after we owned his team, i haven’t reported the GT since i don’t know how to. But i’m sure a lot of people suffers these kind of things everyday.

I hope halo 4 has some kind of auto balance that keeps the team number even and for it to detect when you have been afk for far too long. Best way is to see if the scope/cross hairs are moving and not in a simple pattern.

I have game nights monday nights with some friends in my dorm and everyone likes the spawn protection I put in. Good cloak, 150% both weapon and melee, and 200%/invulnerable for resistance, all lasting the first 5 seconds. We’ve tried with and without the spawn protection for snipers on hemerage in 5-on and 5-off and showed a better playing field. No more spawn deaths.

For the spire match, I found it in a few minutes.
Just look under carnage to see the kill scores. It’s ridiculous.

Lol, that’s some serious cheating, and shouldn’t be allowed, Reach is supposed to be Competitive, but instead a lot of people just wants to win, win, and win, and they just do whatever they please without caring about the other team’s gaming experience, it sucks to lose a game like that.

Ridiculous indeed pal.

Agreed, if I wanted to play that competitively, I’d go arena or tournaments. I just want to play to screw around, see what stunts I could play out, just have fun.

It’s got to the point of getting stuck with people that are in Party Chat, not Game Chat, so you can’t work as a team, people that do have mics, but don’t use them, same with those who don’t understand that their mics are either broke or they have constant noise coming through that is doing more harm than good. Other than that, I get team attacked/killed for no reason or I happen to do or take something that they wanted.

I’ve lost countless good fights over vehicles damaged due to team mates or loss of shield. I’m still mad at the guy who stood on top of my wraith, gave me two stickies, then later a few warthog shots took me out as I took them out. Needless to say, our team lost that CTF game. meh…

Well, that’s better than having a “partner” get in middle of your Wraith cannon right before shooting, killing ourselves, instead of the reds on the cliff, and then looking at it on Fails of The Weak.

Still, i keep lol’ing on that everyday…

If you wanna mess around, do it in custom games.

We have fun winning, so we play to win.

We’re going to be mad when our teammates fail.
