I recently took my account from offline to online and upon doing so everything I have received has been lost. All of my achievements show up in both the Xbox website and on the system, but in the game itself everything is gone.
I completed the game on Solo Legendary and the game says I have no record.
I had more loadouts and weapons, armor, etc… unlocked and now I have nothing.
Basically it reset everything inside the game.
Why is this? and Why does the game not just read my current achievements to revert everything back to normal? I am not worried about the XP points or even the weapons or armor, I just don’t want to have to replay the game on legendary again to get my rank back.
You don’t have to replay the game on Legendary, unless you want the Mk. VI armor in Multiplayer.
Let me explain how the Service Record works. You play a game in one of the Halo 4 game modes while connected to Xbox Live, and it records relevant stats from that game, such as how many kills you got, what you used, what you killed, the difficulty, etc. It won’t get recorded if you aren’t connected to Xbox Live. You said your rank got reset? When I transferred from offline to online, my rank stayed the same. You should check to see that it only reset your loadouts.
This was an issue caused by a TU in August 2013 (the same TU that added the Champions Bundle content). It has since been resolved. The good news is that your loadouts and Campaign progress being reset is a one-time only thing; the bad news is that it’s irreversible.
Achievements and game progress are saved separately–they don’t synchronize.
I was never worried about the armor and what not, just that in the service record it has no record of me playing the game at all, yet I have the achievements for playing the game.
I appreciate the input from everyone. It really helped shed some light on a dark area. Sucks that I have to replay everything, but I will live.
