Yes. I can only promise to do my best though
sounds like you need to make friends
GâDay mate. Yes on drop down. WARNING THOUGH : I am old with dodgey eyesight, arthritic knuckles, a life time of other injuries and not that I can check anymore, but probably have a 2% accuracy and a 1 in 50 for headshots.
I think I sent both of you Xbox friend requests, but Iâm not sure since I play on PC, and Iâm not used to the Xbox site.
Thatâs fine.
Iâm usually sort of competitive, but I just mess around in matches sometimes.
Well done mate, great post.
For blokes itâs a lot different. We insult each other constantly and laugh about it. When you finally see some women join in, only to be insulted, it paints a poor picture. We should probably think about it this way, would you say to your Mum, the things that you say to a female player?
I am 52. Up until I was about 25, if you asked me who my hero was, I would have said, Luke Skywalker. Nowadays, if you ask me who my hero is, I would say, my Mum.
Iâll check when I log in later. Itâs Sunday 9a.m. 12-12-21 here. I am on the office computer doing Pasture Board paperwork with the Waypoint open on the other screen.
Thank you.
Thank you.
LOL
Thank you.
If thatâs for me, I have just gotten back from the Salvation Army Citadel, where I have been surrounded by friends and family. I also went out last Tuesday night with seven of my friends. If you mean I need to get some friends on the X-Box, I have been messaged that there are some players who have rolled out the welcome mat and sent me friends requests, directly on the X-Box. To those of you who have done this, THANK YOU. When I log in on the X-Box next, I will accept those
I also just wanted to say, I donât mean to sound angry. I was happy sitting on the lounge with my Husband, playing some games on my iPad, while he did his Halo. He kept saying, âCome on, 'ava a go, 'ava a go, 'ava a goâ ( Imagine this being said by Chips Dubbo, yes, my Husband has told me all about Chips, as we are Aussies ) After years I finally did, found that, yes, it is very good, but then got some very nasty comments. For everybody that sent me requests and posted words of encouragement here = faith restored in humanity
The game just came out. Give people a while to understand the nuances.
I sent you (and the others I mentioned) a friend request.
Iâm on PC, so Iâm not sure what invites look like or if they even work, but feel free to send me one or join me if Iâm online.
Posts like this give me a boost of enthusiasm to keep at it. Thank you.
They did indeed work. use the âXbox Game Barâ or the âxbox console companionâ to see things like invites, friend requests/followers, even messages. that is if you still have 'em installed
Wow, I didnât know about that.
Thanks for telling me.
yeah, youâre welcome :3
Hi, sorry I couldnât reply sooner, I managed to get banned again for âNo constructive purpose to their actions other than creating dissent within the communityâ.
Calm down Mods - Letâs not drop me in the same bracket as the death threat doxxers! I have:
-created many posts giving detailed feedback with reasons and examples
-submitted many bug reports with examples to help fix things
-created maps in H5 forge (which are much better and contain much more than your academy) to help new players learn the game
-want to do the same in infinite, because the academy is terribly limited, but I canât because no forge
-above all, you fail to recognise a joke! If I was being serious, believe it or not, I would not use a human centipede or gluteus maximus as examples.
And with that off my chest - I havenât got time to answer everybody that replied, and most of you have answered each other anyway, but Iâd like to answer you Netty.
I do not want you to feel unwelcomed or disheartened, getting threatened with âforced entry of the rearâ (I canât use the words you used because Iâll get banned again - you wonât though) or screamed at is not good at all and that is what I was hinting at when I said âI know clueless, angry people have been shouting at one anotherâŚâ because often what they shout is not good advice hence why my chat is always switched to friends only - I can tell whatâs happening by the feed and where my team are without listening to Chad having a fit in my ear hole.
You shouldnât feel that I donât want you around:
-My original post was supposed to be read in a jokey way as if Iâm angry about it but I understand so letâs have a laugh about everything that drives you crazy.
-My original post is however 100% honest about the frustrations of players but this definitely is not only new players. In H5 youâd see these things and had the freedom to see their experience and they were often 150s!
-My original post is actually filled with advice (as opposed to âno constructive purposeâ) - read the paragraphed points of the different gametypes and there are not so subtle criticisms of what people do and what they should be doing.
-we all need and want new players like you!
-The biggest problem is the way teams are made up of people of different experience and skill (even in ranked!) a criticism to 343, not you!
Some more advice would be
-change your chat to friends only (half joking but not a single piece of good calm advice has ever been shared down a halo solo queue mic and the people who have offered to match you above will be able to talk to you without Chad screaming!)
-mark enemies, itâs a great addition, you donât have to talk to people and it works even if theyâve muted you
-keep an eye out for the â!â above your teamâs heads - this will tell you whoâs in a gunfight and you may be able to help them, also the âxâ when itâs too late for them because theyâll be flapping on the floor but you may be able to clean up a kill (check kill feed though - they may have traded)
-use headphones, sound is everything particularly in ranked with no radar.
-stay in eyesight of your team but donât crowd together (the gluteus maximus / human centipede joke above), crowding makes it easy for your enemy to collapse on you, blocks shots, keeps large areas of the map uncovered, makes it easy to be wiped out with power weapons or even grenades and keeps easy routes open for the enemy if playing CTF etc.
-if youâre carrying the oddball then try to lead your team to somewhere you can âplayâ the ball (when they donât follow, youâll get as frustrated as me!), meaning throw it off the map (switch weapon button) if you think the enemy are going to collapse on you and take the ball. This is to make sure even if you die then they donât get ball time and they are out of position when the new ball spawns. Easy on Live Fire and Recharge but more difficult on closed maps such as Streets but there are a couple of spots where you can get the ball out (between crates at PD corner, and truck between Arcade and Red Room).
-throw the power cells in BTB (fire button), quicker and you wonât have a big target on your head, your team will probably steal them from you and walk with them and thatâs frustrating but at least youâll win. You can easily juggle 3 or 4 cells on your own by throwing them and if you are at the pile of cells at round-start first, even though sooner or later your team will steal them from you, by throwing them all closer to your half of the map youâll be the unrecognised champion of that match and no-one will thank you for it (especially if you have chat off) but youâll know!
-(common sense but youâll be surprisedâŚ) if youâre in the last round and only need one more cell, donât go and get a cell, guard the nearest player to your base that already has one and be ready to take over picking it up if he gets killed and make sure no one is stealing from your base.
Biggest advice, watch YouTube
Aozolai - full weapon analysis.
Shyway - movement and gameplay breakdowns
The Halo Doctor - movement and gameplay breakdowns
Proximitty - lots of gameplay now but when H5 came out, lots of gameplay and weapons advice, a lot of this is still valid so his older videos are still good for new players and Iâm sure heâll start making more advice videos again soon for infinite
Reclaimer - proximittyâs friend, teammate and similar creator (samaritxn, dallascx, slafty, korpsic also, can follow their comms for tips)
Mind-blowing advanced movement from HiddenReach, L3G3ND6, luculent, LB Bubba, J2thetron / joshington, jthedruggernaut, clearlyMe, condsy, iSkulk, meozer, smodoopa, undy tonza, lefthumb,
A Live Dinosaur -crazy 360s, not too useful for beginners but inspiring nonetheless.
Pros - frosty, tsm ftx snip3down, snakebiteFPS, bubu dubu, lucid all make YouTube content with plenty of rage which educates! (Royal2 might be busy elsewhere
).
Streamers - vetoed, perzecute, gunnplexion, stress also all on YouTube
Iâll leave it there or Iâll be typing all day but sorry again, keep going and hopefully this is constructive enough to not get banned again or cause any dissent
.
Glad youâve found some teammates above, I look forward to getting owned by you and your team in the future and being teabagged accordingly.
Yeah our whole team had at least +5 kd then the bot came in to âhelpâ, went 2-19 and lost the match
Top answer
(Donât need the 20 characters)
I just happened to watch a video from him on strafing with the thruster in Halo 5 the other day (I donât usually watch YouTube videos for video game advice for multiplayer, but I wanted to know more about the thruster)
I stopped watching after half of the video though since he sort of seemed to be repeating himself half way through the video.
He gave some pretty good advice though.
I didnât know they were best used to confuse your opponents in 1v1s when strafe jumping.
Whenever I got it in Infinite, I would only use it to dodge and run to cover.
Heâs a bit of a halo god for weapon and vehicle analysis, particularly in H5 with its massive range of weapon and vehicle variants.
Yes, in H5 the thrust was usually used when you (and hopefully your opponent in a 1v1) were 1shot in the hope of getting the last shot on them and forcing them to miss the last shot on you but thrust had lots of uses in H5 (bum slide, kneecap, thrusting overjump, ability to combine with ground pound and stabilise to use 2 thrusts in one jump to cover large gaps, thrusting into ramps or curves to fly in the air etc).
I didnât know Halo 5 had that many weapons.
Halo Infinite really cut down on the amount.
I wonder if that was partly for balancing.
