Sorry if this has already been posted here - I searched the support forums for experience-related threads and didn’t find anything, so I figured I’d go ahead and post.
Anyway, in one of the matches I completed a few minutes ago, I finished both the Battle Rifle commendation (achieved Master rank for 10,000 XP) and finished the weekly challenge “To the Victor Go the Spoils” for 3,500 XP. Add that to the 2,000-3,000 XP I received from the match and I should have been awarded around 16,000 XP.
The problem is that I was only 825 XP away from hitting SR 80. So, when I hit SR 80, I was forced to leave the results screen and pick a new specialization. That means I lost out on around 15,000 XP.
I know I can make that up in just a few matches if I do well, but it is a pretty big disappointment not to get any of the experience from finishing the Master rank of the BR commendation. It especially sucks when you lose out on all that XP simply because you finished challenges and commendations at the wrong time.
Is there any chance this will be fixed in the future? I don’t entirely understand why we give ranks like SR 70 and SR 80 a complete pass in the first place, and when I miss out on that much XP, it makes the current system seem even more silly.
