I don’t understand how entire games are lost.

I just played a game of Snipers and did fairly well. Happy about this, I was looking forward to seeing my stats only to get back to the menu to find that it failed to retrieve the data. I stayed calm though and thought it’d be on Waypoint. I go to my game history and the entire game is just not there.

Again, I don’t understand how entire games can just go missing. Not to sound like a -Yoink-, but I had a really great game only for the entire game to be lost? How does a game franchise as popular as this have such little petty things go wrong?
