I have been patiently fighting my way through Halo Combat evolved on legendary mode, I was just finishing the level where the flood have got loose and paused the game, when I went to resume the game I was bumped out of the game. Now when I go to load the game up it hasn’t got any game data recorded after the truth and reconciliation level? My xbox says in the achievements tab I’ve completed 5 levels and I have the achievements as well. What has happened here? And is there a way to get my game data back?

Just as a bit of an update to this, I have just been on the phone to Microsoft support, who had me delete my profile from the xbox, turn it off and then disconnect the power for 30+ seconds, start up the console again and put my profile back on so that when I started halo it would re-sync to my profile, which it did. However my progress still has not been returned. So it looks like this is something that either 343 could fix/restore or it is lost forever and I will have to go through the hell of legendary mode to get back to where I was <sigh>

Time will tell.
I had a similar hiccup, where I lost my Halo 2 save. But I wasn’t very far through, so I didn’t rage as much.
Still, even SP is suffering. This saddens me.
I will be honest, I was really looking forward to this game, and as frustrating as legendary mode is I was enjoying going through it again, now this has happened to me I’ve been sickened off playing it

I feel your pain! Same thing happened to me and I was turned off from playing for a while. Decided being a completionist wasn’t that important though and the knowledge that I kicked -Yoink- once was satisfaction enough. Got over it and played again.
This kind of glitch is unacceptable though!
