I was severely disappointed to get banned from multiplayer due to the network connection. I was able to join games and play for about the first 5 minutes then I got kicked out because of a connection issue. This happened a few more times and then I got the lost connection notice and a ban notice.
This ruined my entire night of playing Halo because of the ban which only happened due to the server issue. I know there isn’t much anyone can do but I’m just frustrated.
Yup same here and my 3 buddies game started and we all got kicked no shots even fired all banned.
yep, just happened to me, I actually finished the game got credit and then got BANNED and I’m on a great network. so 343 has -Yoink- servers and we get kicked due to there crappy network, so we get banned??? AND I SURE ITS ALL OUR FAULT RIGHT

Just happened to me too. I know it isn’t my connection since other xboxes in the house have been on xbox live in other games with no issues. Halo goes into these connection fits where it keeps booting me every game then BANNED! I’m an old guy trying to play on a Saturday. I don’t think i’ve ever quit a game early. Frustrating.
I idled one gameam just got banned. I was wondering what happened until I saw this. I’ve lost connection a few times. Which sucks.
Hey, I got banned for leaving to go fight a fire. I mean, it doesn’t get much more insulting than that does it? Screw me for putting my -Yoink- on the line for my community. How dare I.
Same here. Finished game and then immediately lost connection afterwards (which has only happened a handful of times since launch) and received a ban for 1:44 which is not too bad I suppose. It looks like bans are at least being given out now but the system will need some tweaking for sure.
I took a day off to play Halo 5, connection issues are rampant and have experienced a lot of dropping out of matches. To add insult to injury I was also banned because of these connection issues which, obviously, are 343s fault... So whats the plan guys? After the -Yoink- up you had with Halo MCC this is your new trophy? Crappy server connections and then subsequent bans for the people who suffer from them?
I feel duped and will not recommend anyone buy this game

Plan on seeing this message very often until a formal announcement (Twitter and a locked forum shown in help section) is made so people stop wasting their time and money on “solutions”. This is all I want
The lack of service and blaming of consumer setups is outrageous.
They suggest changing DNS (I did this day 2, no help).
I have tried multiple forum posts, Twitter, Facebook, etc.
All we get in response is:

Provide a time line or at least make everyone aware of the issue rather than responding to a forum post with this garbage. Thousands of people have this issue. Many turn to purchasing new hardware or bring out a technician for $100s of dollars to play a game and 343 knows it is an issue on their side. MAKE IT PUBLIC THAT IT IS YOUR ISSUE AND YOU’RE WORKING ON IT! Stop letting people waste their time and money!
I’ve read hundreds of posts. Some are even TWC technicians who know it isn’t a hardware or service provider issue.
11-3. Banned as well and have no idea why? I have played every halo game online and have never even thought it possible to get banned. I just finished a game and then banned. I pressed the A button fairly quickly but I think it said until 2-28, that would be crazy? I need a reason 343!
11-4. The ban lifted after about an hour. I did have xbox support call me, since 343 has no way of contacting them, and they said they are able to see if you are banned and why. By that time it had already lifted but that option may be some use to any of you that are still having a problem.
I’m having the same problem. I’ve disconnected from every match, EVERY MATCH, for the past 5 days. I had no idea this was such a widespread issue until I found this forum after trying everything else. I’m really starting to wonder why this game didn’t get delayed. The campaign felt like it was missing a mission, there are fewer multiplayer modes, no map or game variant voting system, getting armor is ridiculous and no local split screen campaign. And now, on top of all that, tons of people, including myself, can’t even play the multiplayer. It seems like they spent too much time making it look good and not enough making it work. I’ve played Halo since I was 5 and have been a huge fan since then. I want nothing more than this game to work. If it isn’t fixed soon though, I might just exchange it for Fallout 4 and be done with it.
I was having the same problem. Fixed it by setting forwarding the recommended ports from my router. Fairly confusing and time consuming if you aren’t tech savvy but it worked
I just got kicked from game for suicides on rig in doubles with friend, as if this wasn’t bad enough next game we win and lost connection… at end of gamer stats screen boom banhammer 
Ok ill wait it out no worries, my fault for suicides as I missed my jumps but still…

Lost connection to local network. Why? Why doesn’t 343 state a reason for this issue? It is 2015. There is no reason to be consistently kicked from games due to these issues. Why am I constantly separated from my friends when already in a fireteam? How does it decide which person to randomly kick to the home screen? What can we do as gamers to stop this issue? Does 343 care?
Second issue, why is it that laggy players are rewarded? I have multiple segments of games recorded with extremely laggy players (not everyone, usually 1 person). Running through walls, shooting through walls. How is this happening and why are players who are doing something similar to lag switching being rewarded with being able to play? They are not winning based on skill.

343 still hasn’t fixed this I have a 2 day ban for only leaving one game last week ever since I left that game it always discconects me every game connection lost please fix you servers since 343 won’t I’m going back to MCC cuz this is gay and you don’t even have a thing to talk to moderator just forums hoping they reply which they won’t so please read 3 day ban because of you guys and you won’t help out still.
