Lost 3 ranks due to quitters

So this morning I decided to get on and play some Arena. I get on and have a great game of truth to get my Plat 5. I’m hyped after this, so I decide to jump back in for some more. To sum it all up I played around 7-8 more matches with 5 of them having multiple teammates that have quit out to leave the rest of us to get wrecked. I don’t quit games ever, so I took all the hopeless losses to ultimately get knocked all the way down to Plat 2. I’m a very competitive player and I can take a close loss with full teams but when this occurs its frustrating and this rant is to bring up how bad the quit rates are and how it screws many over.

So the 6 DNF’s where due to???

Do you really go into arena alone without expecting this? The sooner you accept that you can’t play arena alone and get the rank you desire, the better. I’ve already accepted it.

I think this is probably the best answer for those that are truly interested in ranking up.

I am more of a casual player and while the quitters do frustrate me, I expect it before I enter arena. Ranks have always been my favorite part of Halo so I know I am matched with other players of my level. I have never ever focused on trying to get higher ranks. I do feel bad for those that want to rank up and are playing alone. That would be rough with all the quitters.

Your win percentage indicates that the matchmaking system is doing a pretty good job at matching you up with players at a similar skill level to you. That’s a good thing and when you think about it, is much more important than your rank. Also, for every bad run of quitters on your team, there will be a run of quitters on the other team - but people don’t tend to come here to complain about that.
