You don’t lose experience, you can lose CSR. It’s a skill rating system — win you go up, lose you go down. The amount depends on several factors. If you didn’t lose rank just because someone quits, the system could easily be abused.
You can quit out of a game if someone has already left and there’s no additional penalty.

Experience csr it doesnt matter what you call it. If you lose a game that started 3 on 4 you should not lose any experience. Theres no argument you can make to justify that.

You get the csr right back on your next win. Like I said, it could be abused if you didn’t lose rank for a loss. It would also lead to inflated ranks. (Winners gain csr. Losers don’t lose any)

Yeah, CSR isn’t the same as EXP. And if it was a 3v4 and you lost, you probably didn’t lose too much progress. Still sucks though.
CSR needs to go. It’s not fun at all and it makes finding a match harder, it is actually infuriating to deal with because of the weekly challenges. You can’t just relax and enjoy some Halo anymore. EVERY game you get into is going to be a sweaty, over the top game where you’ll get called slurs whether you win or lose. CSR doesn’t even feel accurate half the time, as I constantly end up being terrible in matches.
Well games in general will never feel balanced if all you are trying to do is “relax” and “just play a game with the boys” when you last got off of a win streak is all I’m saying. There is also no mechanism in place to “restart” a game if someone left right as the game began (or lost connection). The game doesn’t load up unless the teams are even. Really not much to do in this situation except leave (and take the penalty) or just try to play through it. Maybe try to relax knowing you are most likely going to lose and just try to learn new strategies of how to deal with situations when outnumbered.
You mean CSR? That’s just the ranking system for you.
