Is complete bull poo. I join solo, and a teammate leaves, and I get punished.
we are also being banned for disconnects so…
just voice it but it won’t change for now
At least the amount of rank you lose should be minimal. Like very small.
The only exception would be if you had just won a few games but the system wasn’t convinced you were doing that well (your MMR is lower than your CSR), so it uses the loss to bring your CSR back to where it thinks it should be.
You’re not playing ranked seriously enough if your solo queuing. There’s not going to be any freebee’s because you choose to let the AI Matchmaker pick your RNG teammates for you.
So, in your opinion, solo rank just shouldn’t exist. Why even comment then?
It can exists… But you’re playing to lose essentially, or at least with a crippling disadvantage…
Your pretty much asking for a bad time over all. You choose to be in this position, you shouldn’t get any added benefits because you made a poor decision.
You make no sense, and your life outlook probably sucks. I don’t want to waste my time commenting back, but I feel like I have to.
With your outlook on life, no one should ever buy a car, you know, because it’s a bad decision, it could break down. You shouldn’t drive, you know, because you can get in a car accident. You shouldn’t buy an Android phone, you know, because iPhone is better. You shouldn’t but AMD, you know, because Intel is better. You shouldn’t eat cheese pizza, you know, because pepperoni……
Just because “you think” one way is better doesn’t make every other way bad.
Bad analogy, you’re not purposely putting yourself at a disadvantage by purchasing a car.
It’d be more appropriate if you said you saw a piece of junk on the side of the road, and you clearly see it’s missing it’s engine, yet you decide to buy it anyway. That’s closer to what Solo queuing is.
You shouldn’t be rewarded for making a bad decision though. You rely on the AI Matchmaker to attempt to pick teammates for you. This is how you’re rewarded. You got a bad teammate, and thus you lost the match. You don’t get a free do over because you made a bad decision. It’s just something you’re going to have to learn to get over. $#!^ happen, and this is the results of poor decision making.
If all you can afford is a junker, that’s all you can get. You work towards getting more money to buy a better car. Solo is the junker. You are trying to find teammates, practice, get better, etc. Along the way, you fix up the junker when it breaks down.
Analogy aside, if a system sucks, and there are easy ways to improve it (ie reduce amount of rank lost if a teammate leaves), why not make it better?
Why should they reduce the amount though? You were the one that picked to solo queue up, let an AI pick your teammates for you, and this is the result. The AI can only do so much when it comes to picking teammates. Don’t you have the opportunity to pick your teammates before hand? People you know you play well with and are reliable teammates? But you choose to let the AI pick for you.
You were the one who choose to play with this disadvantage. The game owes you nothing.
I’m done reply to you dude. You’ve made your point. You think Solo is dumb. Good for you.
Solo/Duo is good for Solo/Duo players because it limits the communication advantages.
I’ll explain…
If I were to solo in open crossplatform, because none of my friends are online or playing Halo, I could be teamed up with potentially 3 other solo players (happens all the time). If none of them use mics or ping, I am on my own (as are they) to figure out who’s where, and what’s happening. If the other team is a party with mics, they have a very strong communication advantage, being able to call out every play on the map.
Solo/Duo helps alleviate this advantage because neither team is able to have a 4 man party communication advantage.
Your odds of successfully winning with random players in your fireteam are reduced for sure regardless, as once you play with the same people repeatedly you start to be able to gauge their strengths and weaknesses and play accordingly. With randoms, it’s a guessing game as to their skills/abilities/knowledge.
But Solo/Duo does have at least that one benefit listed above
