I love Halo 5, it is a fantastic game, but there is one thing about it that I cannot stand. Losing boosts in multiplayer. It seems that every single time I get a legendary boost and I activate it, I lose connection during the match. This has happened to me with legendary boosts on MANY occasions, two just now. Because of this, the game thinks I used that boost, and it disappears. There needs to be some sort of way to stop the loss of req boosts if you happen to lose connection during the game. I understand that 343 cannot fix connection issues that the player may have, but there has to be a way to stop the boost from going away if you don’t complete the game. This has happened to me time and time again and I am begging for some help with this.
Also, I would like to talk about the loss of req packs. Sometimes when I open a gold pack, my game crashes and I don’t get the items. It still takes my req points but it doesn’t give me anything new. This is so frustrating after having earned those points.
As I said before, Halo 5 is fantastic, releasing new content on a regular basis and giving the fans what they want. Thank you so much for that. If these issues could be fixed it would make the game so much better than it already is. Keep it up 343!
Hi OP, regarding boosts there was a change made recently to stop boosts from being used up / lost on disconnections. They won’t be returned straight away, but after a few games you should get it back. More details on that in one of the last community updates:
> Many of you likely caught the news last week, but we’ve made an update to Boosts to ensure that they’re only cashed in (spent or used) if you satisfy the conditions of the boost. For example, if you play a Mission Victory and lose, rather than lose the potential bonus and the card, the card will now be returned to your collection. You should still, however, go for the W, and be proud when you get it. This update is particularly helpful in the event of a disconnect or other weirdness, and we hope it makes your RP and XP gains all the sweeter.
Saying that, I have noticed a few people mention being disconnected specifically when using Legendary boosts. I’ll keep an eye on this, maybe try it myself soon. If it is indeed an issue then it can be flagged to 343 to investigate 
Regarding your REQ packs - if you find that the game crashes as you are opening the pack don’t worry, you still get your items. What happens here is that you skip the opening animation from your pack but the items still drop into your inventory. You can either hard reset your console or check your REQ inventory here on Waypoint.
