Am i the only one having this problem?
Does anyone else lose their internet connection when playing Halo: MCC? I could be playing any other game all day just fine without my internet going out and as soon as i start playing MCC, my internet just shuts off. If anyone has any solutions on how to fix this problem, please help me because this is the only game i can enjoy playing

Like the internet in your entire home is going out? You are losing connection to Xbox Live? What exactly is going on?
If your connection is being lost entirely - that sounds like an issue that you are having locally with your internet service provider.
Yes, my entire home is losing internet connection. It only happens when i play Halo

Literally just started happening to me, only with this game does it happen though, any other game i can run no problem, but i can only get like 1-2 games in and my entire internet just shuts off, for everything in the house
Also having the same issue here, only with playing halo
(PC) (Steam) Having the same (internet loss) issue when playing multiplayer. Only happens to me on halo as ive played gears 5 just fine and any other game for that matter. I would also like to add the ive been playing campaign with a friend and it works fine there (as of right now). Issue happens when playing multiplayer matches.
This issue affects me as well. I am playing on the latest version (as of 12-6-19) of Halo MCC on Steam. My modem loses internet connection, not my PC. This began happening last night on multiplayer matches (has not affected co-op campaign playthroughs yet) and has already happened 3 times within ~1 hour of play time. As is the case with other people in this thread, this internet issue happens ONLY when playing multiplayer MCC and does not appear in any other game or activity. This is very inconvenient as I would love to play this game but the internet connection drops are very problematic for my enjoyment and the temporary bans I get for disconnecting are nothing short of extremely frustrating. Not sure if this will help devs look into it, but my ISP is Spectrum and I am using a UBEE modem provided by my ISP.
EDIT: I spoke to a friend who is not having these issues and is also on Spectrum, but his (once again ISP provided) modem is from Arris. I will see if it’s a problem with my modem by testing with other ones, but this will take some time to properly troubleshoot due to being temporarily banned from matchmaking after each disconnect.
This issue affects me and I live in the United Arab Emirates. Every time I log into a match, it completely shuts off the internet to my computer. I also get this message “game security violation detected (#00000001)” I do not know how to fix this problem. I just want to play Halo

halo mcc however disconnects my entire internet connection thats game breaking PLEASE FIX!!!
I have spectrum maybe thats a common denominator.
Having the same issue, I too have Spectrum.
Spectrum ISP user. Also experiencing this issue. Seems to reboot the main router/modem in the house.
Also friend of mine reported the same issue under Verizon Fios provider.
So I was having this problem for a few days then I decided to change my relay setting from OFF to ON just to see if it would help at all because I was at a loss of what to do. And it seemed to “fix” the issue. Ive had multiple play sessions over the past day or so and it has been fine. I dont know if this “fix” will help anyone out but I thought I would share just in case. Im going to give it another day or so just make sure that this is not a “fluke” so if anything change’s I will be sure to let everyone know.

I have spectrum Internet. I was getting the same issues. I had to go into my routers config and turn UPnP off. I also had to disable DDoS protection on my router.
This seems to have cleared the issue right up.

Exact scenario. The overall experience has been poor for me from disconnects to playing the same people 3,4 games in a row to searching for hardcore doubles and being placed in a hardcore 4v4 but the lobby screen still showing hardcore doubles but 8 players loaded there is clearly something going on not to mention the mods people freely use and peoples Xbox shutting off how does easy anti cheat not detect these things from flying around the maps to carbine mods to snipers, auto tracking br, you name it the list goes on and only cost money apparently and with everyone a financial guru since recent events in our economy, the access and presence of these mods etc are much more frequent. I’m sure easy anti cheat are also doing their best also I just mean a deeper look needs to be taken a look at people’s issues at a whole picture not just per ticket basis and what is occurring whether that is easy anti cheat, 343i, or xbox live networking as I’ve talked to some of these bad apples in game and they say nothing can be done to stop them and they do it because they can.
They try and fix it and I know they are trying but it’s at a point where it’s so terrible to play and my experience is nothing like that of other streamers I watch no one else matches the same people back to back for multiple games even when waiting to avoid them or get constant no Internet cut outs people telling you to end your life and to stop playing the game. It’s not all the players it seems to be a very specific group almost as if the technology is a hidden secret behind the scenes. Makes you wonder if there’s a bug reward program maybe one of them wants to come clean and needs some incentive.
Been trying a few things to fix this will get back to ye when I have a fix
I just lost connection to an MCC match and have received my second penalty for quitting, my first penalty was due to a crash to home. Why does the game punish me for having less than optimal internet!?
