I never complain about anything but after today I played 5 btb’s and I never had less than 2 people quite. As soon as a team captures a flag it feels like half the team drops. If this game is going to be good there needs to be more punishment for dropping. Also I know Btb is not the most competitive class but it makes it really hard to enjoy gaming. I sure nothing will come of this but I had to say something
I mean this games population is already low (just an educated guess based off of how many time I match the same players.) since everyone switched back to MCC. So I in my opinion the only ones left playing are new players and those that prefer it over the older titles. those people who are quitting are either so new that they can’t handle getting killed over and over again or those that are carrying the team. I don’t play social very often so this is just my speculation of course.
Quitters have been a problem since the game came out and are still a problem in MCC. Best you can do is hope the banhammer catches them and report them to give them a bad rep so they only play with others who have a bad rep.

I’d have to disagree about BTB since it can be just as competitive. The quitting itself will happen in any game-type, the quitting could just be server issues since I’m always finding certain friends who always lose connection when trying to join a new game and has happened to me too since I sometimes get dropped because of the servers, that can happen even in middle of game or annoyingly at the end.
As for mid-game quitters it varies…I’ve had games myself where I’ve been spawn trapped by the enemy making it nearly impossible to do anything so kind of understand why some might quit. Pretty sure frequent quitting has a penalty, I know some people who have had to wait due to constant quitting…
I generally refuse to quit but there times when some friends want friends to quit so they can rejoin them because they’ve been dropped from the game due to the server issues and sometimes from game crash’s so it makes me wonder why there isn’t a quick rejoin option.
I’ve been in games where friends have been kicked because of server issues at the start of the game and yet no players fill their slots, I see this frequently in H5 with random players and myself. I’ve had weirder issues in HW2 where someone thought I was afk when the game servers dropped me from the game so it could be happening in H5, maybe H5’s servers could do with improving since the server’s aren’t great because sometimes it can be hard to tell if someone is afk or quitting on purpose or if it’s just bad servers plus we’ve recently just had nearly a month of unplayable rubber-banding issues so I know it’s been getting worse for a while.
I’m also not a huge fan of rage quitters, even if my team has the advantage when someone on the enemy team quits. I always want and enjoy a fair and challenging game, meaning playing a good game with all players on both teams, but it’s not always going to be that way when playing online. I would rather have someone on my team quit than someone on the enemy team, since even if my team may be losing, I would get the extra challenge of having less and fighting more. Sometimes someone could quit on my team, and it could actually benefit, since it could mean less players dying, and slower points for the enemy team. There’s also the thing with online connections. Someone you may think rage quit the game, could have actually not raged quit at all, but instead got kicked out because of poor internet connection. So I don’t know for sure if everyone I see in a match quit, actually quit.
