SO on xbox series x on graphics setting i keep losing aim assist in ranked not every time but it happens alot and it is anoying
And perfomance mode is really really bad like dropping more frames then on graphics settings
And sometimes hdr keeps bugging out had to force disable it and enable cuz it kept going from hdr to no hdr while ingame givimg black screens everytime
The game is not optimized well at all sadly
Btw if anyone asks my ping is 5 ms most matches so that cant be it
Just giving the feedback and hope they will look on how aim assist can dissapear like going from a 49%-50% ac to 30% makes no sense
This. Randomly cuts out, sometimes isn’t on at all before a fight even starts, randomly falls or boosts in strength stopping or overcorrecting shots etc. It’s just bad
You might be noticing what a lot of folks, myself included, are calling desync. Shot around corners with low ping? Killed in half the time it should have taken? Are your bullets flaring shields but not dealing damage?
Yeah, plus they basically said BTB would remain broken until the new year.
I get it, they need a break. I don’t want to see people grind through the holidays and have their morale broken, but it’s still ok for us to be disappointed.
It cuts out after jumping and when you pop a shield. It is really weird. I sometimes see my reticle make circular motions around the enemies head. Then I know I popped a shield and the aim assist is gone.
It’s a known bug, but it’s taking 343i a bit too long to fix.
Well the shield thing is supposedly supposed to be like that, as in working normally and then cutting out or reducing massively when their shield is gone, but even that isn’t consistent. It can cut out prematurely, or over strengthen itself instead of turning off etc
yeah the aim assist sucks. on the other hand, when i’m in a 1v1 and another enemy shows up, it seems to drag my reticle over to the other guy instead of the one i was almost finished with (and the one i was actually shooting), guaranteeing they BOTH live.
Yep…one sure way of saving a team mate is to literally stand next to him. The reticle seems to have a mind of its own in this situation. The same used to happen in Halo5 and CODMW tbf.
Actually I think I read that’s how it’s intended to work. Aim Assist only magnetizes on shielded enemies, then it’s up to player skill to aim for the head, otherwise Aim Assist would do all the work if it magnetized to an unshielded enemy’s head. Seen videos saying the same.
Yeah, that scenario would only make sense if Halo infinite would be a controller only game. But it is cross input, so that can’t be intentional. What would be the m&k equivalent? Less mouse control?
I can understand the rationale behind aim assist getting lowered when you jump, but I hate the shield pop mechanic. It just makes aiming feel way less consistent than it should. While it’s hard to say how much of this is due to server variance or other bugs, but overall I think aiming would feel way better if they lowered aim assist by 5-10% but left it the same after shields break.
If they intend to keep the shield breaking as intentional then yeah I’d agree. Even if it is already pretty weak in comparison to the other games, going from some (when it’s working) to immediately none with the server desync is not a good combo
