EDIT: drop rank at tier1 of metal to tier5 of previous metal rank only.
So I played 12 GAMES in a row where someone quit in the middle of the game. If you suck And keep quiting just stop playing arena, your -Yoink!- people off. 9 of those games were people on my team and it makes it almost almost impossible to win. It kills our rank and doesn’t help our KD cause of lost support.
Make sure you report these losers after every game even if they were not on your team. Hopefully these people get banned like halo said they would after to many rage quits.
Also I understand if I play with a fire team it will prevent this and I normaly try to team up. But not always possible.
Since the game is rated teen, there are lot more immature people who are very impatient and hate losing.
I’m sure there are other reasons, as well, but I think it’s a contributing factor.

This is a great idea. I now they get a lose and forfit any experience or req points. but to instantly drop rank would be a great idea.
Example: Gold tier 3-drop to tier 2. Gold tier 1-drop to silver 5.
I know you can’t drop metal ranks for a lose but if you quit you should be dropped a metal rank. Let’s get all those F’ers dropped to bronze so they can suck together.
While I understand it can be frustrating not everyone is quiting because they are losing. I haven’t quit once. However, I very frequently get the disconnection error message. Something along the lines of “Your console has disconnected from the servers”. I can play 5-6 games and then I can be disconnected a few in a row. If that happens I just go to campaign. I understand it can be frustrating but not everyone are quitters.
Yes quitting ranked games should demote you along with time ban that increases the more you quit… except in rumble pit. There should be no penalty for quitting there in fact I love quitters there because the maps play better with less than eight anyways

Yea I understand and sometimes this is the case. I havnt been disconnected from a game once. I’ve played 100 games. So I find this is not the main cause, can happen but mostly quitters.
Yeah it is getting annoying, played breakout earlier, was up 2-0 from some easier rounds, one guy didn’t have a kill on my team and quit, was then 3v4 and even though I got a triple in one of the rounds after, we lost 5-3, something should be done about quitters

That’s all well and good, until you selfishly quit and ruin three other people’s fun because they lost. If you aren’t having fun, why did you hop into MM in the first place?
@OP, I would agree with your solution on the condition that a certain number of repeat offenses are hit. I don’t want to drop rank the first time I quit because life catches up. But if that happens say five times total I think a rank drop is agreeable. It might suck if it is life demanding I quit all those times, but I could sympathize.
I voted No. If you got rank down when you quit, people would quit to rank down on purpose to play against lower ranks. Witnessed that in Halo 3 matchmaking. A matchmaking ban is good enough.
Those guys must not be aware that quitting gets them an immediate ban for the duration of the match they just left, and longer lasting bans up to perm bans for repeatedly quitting. Dont worry bro, soon those fools will straighten up or be gone in general.
