This ranking system is beyond trash.
Ive had games where I’ve gained 80 points. I wasn’t even good in those games either. I don’t get it either

You only lose -80 when dropping down a level rank
Yeah this skill-based ranking system is so skilled based that your teamates are the skill…lol
It’s a bit buggy, yes. But we it works properly, I bet it’ll work ten times better than 1-50 ever did. There’s a reason Starcraft and LoL use similar systems.
Like I have said before. It should work something like this. You should always have a chance to get more for winning than losing.

+4 2nd Place on Team
+3 3rd Place on Team
+2 Place on Team
Overall MVP +5
Lose -10
-0 MVP
-1 2nd Place on Team
-3 3rd Place on Team

Then it becomes more like a K/D spread where the more wins you have over losses means a better rank. In reality it might have to work differently, but why can’t it just be something simple?
I just went +27 and lost by one point and dropped 60 points.
This ranking system is literally going to drive somebody into suicide.
You lose more if you lose to a team that is below your rank. Gain little when you win against people roughly the same rank. And win a lot against people who are above you.
Compared to what on your team? Can you provide more info than I lose alot to one team and gained barely any from the other?

I’ve been on a 20 game losing streak. I’m Onyx one and I keep getting placed with people who haven’t ranked yet, and then I play those who are ranked, and ranked high. I’m tired of seeing the scoreboard and having myself being the only one who gets more than 10 kills. The last game I played I went 17-10, the 2nd best player on my team 2-15. This beta has to have the worst rank grouping of any Halo game ever. I’m playing games with people who are only playing this game for the first time. I like this game, but the whole experience is being brought down by the god awful team balance.
Also if a grenade kills me in one hit when I have full health and shields one more time I’m going to lose it. The AR isn’t the most OP weapon, the grenades are.

It’s a mix of Silvers and Onyx’s on both teams.
I cannot get a game that has all my rank and the system is punishing me hard for it.
My rank was Onyx 3, now I am Onyx 1 from 2 losses and both games we barely lost and I was +15 or more.
