Lose Connection but keep Commendations?

I seem to lose connection fairly frequently (about once or twice during a 4-5hr gaming session). My internet speeds are ridiculously fast but I do live in the mideast so perhaps the game servers are dropping me for some reason. I’m trying to complete as many Commendations as possible before Infinite comes out so my question is this:
Do I keep the commendation progress made in a match even if I lose connection to the servers (just to be clear, this is NOT me quitting)?

I believe you don’t get any credit unless the game is finished. Can anyone else confirm?

I actually think you do get credit for the commendation progress regardless.

Obviously not targetmaster if your team wins but you lagged out of the match.
