Instalation 00 (The Ark) was destroyed by the Master Chief in Halo 3. Is there another Ark or was it repaired? Because I was told Halo Wars 2 is set on the Ark?
The Ark was not destroyed, it was damaged when Istallation 04B the replacement for the ring in halo combat evolved was prematurely launched and destroyed, so it is the same ring from halo 3 yet is still repairing itself.

I’m not saying for sure, mostly because I’m to lazy to actually fact check it right now…but I believe it is the ARK(Halo 2 & 3) there was a lesser Ark but it was destroyed a long long time ago in a galaxy not so far away…actually our galaxy. You see the damaged or repaired Installation 04 during the trailer if you look closely. It will be interesting to see how they go about this whole thing since technically there is a portal to earth but its mysteriously out of action during the events over the course of atleast the first few missions from what we have seen. There are a lot of variables that can come into play, this is one of the reasons I’m so excited for this game. I believe its going to have a better story line than Halo 5.

To make it all clear and on point.
The Ark in Halo 3 which was damaged, not destroyed is the Lesser Ark. There was an Ark before the Lesser one which was called the Greater Ark. It produced bigger but weaker Installations than the smaller Lesser Ark. The Greater Ark was completely destroyed in the Forerunner vs Flood era.
