Lord Hood??

I have not read many books or comics, but from my understanding Lord Admiral Hood is still alive. Correct me if I am wrong please.

I prefered hood to del rio, is it possible lord Hood will be in Halo 5?

He’s very much alive. He’s working with the Arbiter to turn the truce into something more permanent.

In the meantime, read the Kilo 5 trilogy

His most recent appearance is in Halo Escalation, which takes place directly after Spartan Ops. So there’s a very big chance he’ll appear in Halo 5.

Good. I felt the connection between Halo 3 and Halo 4 to be a bit…missing for some reason.

Awesome.

I gave up on the books some time ago, so thanks for the heads up!

Yes, possibly because the Kilo-5 trilogy decided to foolishly compile all of the events post Halo 3 into mere months, when they could have spread over several years as they should have. I think the S-IV program should have started around 2555, or even 56 as opposed to directly after the human-covenant war, as it did. It would have at least given time for things to settle down before new events occur.

All good, my friend

Cheers mate

Yep, he’s got Arby’s six, which I like, compared to ONI’s crap against the Sangheili’s. And I do agree that Del Rio was a major -Yoink-. I’d be glad to see him back, especially after having a nostalgic look back at Hood when I played Halo 2 last weekend.

Spoiler: yes the Arbiters best friend is still alive.

Firstly read the Kilo-Five Trilogy (Halo: Glasslands; Halo: Thursday War; Halo: Mortal Dicata) by Karen Traviss. And secondly the ongoing comic-series Halo: Escalation, by Chris Schlerf.

Halo: Thursday War Spoilers

It states that Captain Andrew Del Rio was put in place by Fleet Admiral Terrance Hood… as a placeholder captain… for the UNSC Infinity, due to lack of commanding officers after the Human-Covenant War. The crew would never be loyal to the point of valiantly dieing for him, but would still follow him… begrudgingly… that is why then-Commander Thomas Lasky was put as his Executive Officer (XO), aboard the UNSC Infinity. Admiral Margaret Parangosky believed that because of how he earns the respect and friendship of his comrades, he would of made a better captain… to which was proven in Halo 4… with the Master Chief Petty Officer John-117.Halo: Escalation Spoilers

Directly after the events of the Second Requiem Campaign, Fleet Admiral Terrance Hood, Captain Thomas Lasky, Spartan Commander Sarah Palmer, Kaidon Thel 'Vadam, Chieftain Lydus held a diplomatic summit, on Ealen IV, to discuss a possible reunification of the Jiralhanae clans, under the Eldar Chieftain Lydus. This summit was however interrupted by a localized Covenant Remnant, indirectly lead by Supreme Commander Jul 'Mdama, and directly Shipmaster Vata 'Gajat and Champion Tek. This had lead to jammed communications with their allies, who were orbiting the atmosphere; they had taken shelter in an abandon redoubt. The surviving members of the summit had however been betrayed by one of their own, a Spartan-IV name Vladmir Scruggs, which lead the Remnant to their doorstep. Attempting to escape, and unknown how the Covenant tracked them, the group splintered… Captain Lasky and Spartan Ray infiltrated the Covenant Remnants base attempting to destroy the jammer and reconnect with their vessels; the other group was to be escorted by Spartan Palmer, who was to protect the diplomatic ambassadors at all costs… however the traitor being among them soon signaled his contractors… to which a Covenant Lich was lead to the ambassadors immediately. The Lich was however destroyed due to Spartan Palmer’s ingenuity… Scruggs however scouted ahead to which he betrayed his fellow Spartan-IV as well as killing the ambassadors bodyguards, the Sangheili and Jiralhanae. (Currently that is all we know)Although Halo: Escalation is ongoing, I do believe Lord Hood will play a fundamental role in the next game(s)… whether is a mention or an actual role, like in Halo 2 and Halo 3.
