So this is a consistent problem, I go to open a req pack and then Halo 5 freezes and dashboards me. I got back to open it and it’s gone. I just earned a Spartan company req pack only to lose it because of bad game design. I don’t even know what was in the pack. This has been an issue since launch. How it hasn’t been addressed is beyond me.
Probably better to put in the support forums since I haven’t really heard of the game freezing and then crashing after opening REQ packs. You’ll still get the content of the pack even if you don’t see it. On the plus side, unless it’s Achilles armor the Spartan Company REQ packs aren’t anything special so you aren’t missing much.
I get that just going to reeeallly suck if I get the helmet or some legendary xp boost only to lose them

You still got whatever was in the pack, guaranteed.
As has already been stated, you still get the content of the packs. If your really worried about it you could always open the packs on waypoint instead of in game. I rarely had an issue with the game messing up when I opened a pack, so maybe this is an isolated incident with your console. My suggestion would be to uninstall then reinstall the game to see if that helps
