I have hope for Halo 4 but with every detail that has been leaked so far (some not yet confirmed) my hopes are slowly dying away. First of all it’s “HALO” not “COD” so please call the Spartan Ops something different and even though I wasn’t a big fan of Firefight it kinda has to stay with Halo 4.
No elites? !%@#$#$ Come On! I mean I never liked the Spartan vs Elite thing in reach where the Elites were a little more powerful, but that somehow things worked out how about we go back to the Halo 3 style multiplayer where you can choose to be either Spartan or Elite and no matter what gametype you played you were what you chose.
And why the hell are the armor abilities coming back!?!?!?!?!? can someone please explain that? Sprint for everyone sounds amazing but bringing back camo, hologram and the rest and Including a new one I feel is all “BS” I think 343 needs to play it SAFE!!! not change the game we know and love! who gives a damn! if COD is popular right now, how about if you just give us the Fans what we want a real Halo 4 (HALO 3 BUT BETTER) I’m pretty sure that’s not much to ask, and in my Opinion Bungie killed Halo by having made Reach.
As for weapons, DMR coming back? Seriously!!! everyone wants the BR not the DMR so why will it be in Halo 4? and weapon drop zones instead of their regular spawns? What is this? I don’t want to have to look out for a drop zone while i’m playing a game how about we go back to the basics? And please custom loadouts (Classes) this is definitely not Halo at all, yes bungie introduced that with Reach which I feel is a major disappointment compared to Halo 3 or Halo 2… Custom weapon loadouts I feel will ruin multiplayer and the game overall.
This is just my overall opinion so far, I am still excited for the game and anxious to know more but am worried that Halo 4 will not be the game that us the fans have been waiting for.
Please feel free to state opinions
-Multiplayer
-Spartan ops
-Classes for weapons
-Weapon Attachments
(just some topics to think about)
>No elites either for canonical (would any Spartan IV even want to be represented as an Elite in the simulation, anyway?) reasons, or because they knew they couldn’t do them justice (not enough customization, et all) and are saving them for Halo 5.
>Spartan Ops, while a less than stellar name, is not that bad. C’mon now. You’re just complaining for the sake of complaining.
>343i doesn’t have a choice with AA’s, really. Reach set the precedent, if they go back they confuse and annoy many new fans. Of course, they’d gain a few old ones back, but not enough to make it worthwhile.
>Just because people aren’t shoving “I WUNTZ TEH DMR BECK!” down your throat doesn’t mean people don’t like it. Plus, considering the ability to choose your loadout, it just helps diversify things.
How different? Well the BR was Halo 3’s like signature weapon and the DMR belongs with Reach and as far as I know Halo 4 is a prequel to Halo 3 not Reach 2 but like I said I am giving 343 a chance
Diversity is nice but just an example: having the ability to spawn with a sniper from the beginning of the game instead of having just two set snipers will cause loss for many of the competitive players.

So that’s what you meant by “classes”. No, let me sooth your nerves; you cannot spawn with anything that has ever been called a “power weapon” (except for possibly the shotgun, that’s still up in the air). No sniper, R.L, sword, grav. hammer. Your choices are (roughly, as I don’t work for 343i) the DMR, BR, AR. That’s it.
Past that, you can choose grenades (what that means for nade spawns on the map, I’m not sure), and your secondary weapon (most likely either magnum or plasma pistol), and finally your AA.
I have every right to be skeptical, just like everyone else, to be honest there are a few things that concern me, but I still remain hopeful that Halo 4 will be a great game. The way I see it, if you look at the game pessimistically, then you will play it that way too, and that would never be good.

Thanks for clearing up some of the info because from what i have heard it sounds a lot like COD and although it is a good game I juts miss my Halo gameplay and to be Honest Halo Reach plays very different than Halo 3 I may have jumped to some conclusion but I am waiting like everyone else for a Beta or at least some actual gameplay footage with some sort of walkthrough
I want the hidden option: I think halo 4 will be a competitor for game of the year.
I just simply love halo, and I will accept this game because it will be a testament to 343i’s dedication to its fans while simultaneously being a way to get new fans and revive the series. If it fails, then we know where halo is going… but if it is awesome, we have a bright future for the trilogy.
I’m ‘loosing’ hope in people knowing the difference between ‘loose’ and ‘lose’. Seriously.
We won’t get a beta, that’s just how it is. But you know what we can get? A demo. If enough people were to tell 343, “I did/will not purchase your game because you didn’t offer a demo, and I wasn’t sure if this was the game for me,” I’m sure they will release a demo to please all of the people. I mean, thousands of people tell them this, I’m sure it would compel them to do something on the matter.
Just give me more for gameplay footage and feature announcements, and I will make my judgement.

Came here to comment on loose/lose, now I’m posting this useless comment.
