I’ve see a lot of talk on here about how Infinite will be abandoning Halo 4/5 story points… I think the perfect solution is to include or later add in side missions(arcs) to wrap up these stories and to follow this newer banished story line. I think we’re going to see several different story arcs anyway.

By setting this unreasonably lofty expectation, you’re probably setting yourself up to be disappointed.
I doubt several different story arcs. You may see nods to certain things but I think Infinite is going to stay pretty contained within itself. Not saying you won’t have side missions, but I wouldn’t expect them to be substantial. At least not in terms of story telling/arcs say like RDR2 had.
It was confirmed to be still following the events of Halo 5 despite being a spiritual reboot.

Which it will be interesting to see how they pull that off without causing 5s story to be meaningless.
I highly expect 343 to treat the story much like Halo CE, in that it was quite self contained within the wider story. Obviously the story is going to be much bigger than CE, and I think it will explore the banished and their leader a lot more.
But with regards to the created takeover, I think they’ll tell this story within that one, ending Infinite’s launch campaign with Chief defeating this army of Banished and getting off the ring.
the Campaign expansions that will like come, will probably focus more one what’s been happening off the ring.
I bet you money that the side missions are just going to be

That would be great! So that way I could promptly ignore them lol
In all honesty I feel like there will be an air of mystery as to what happened to resolve 4 and 5, and they will hint at what happened and perhaps even reveal it all in the end, but I doubt they will have side stories. Only time will tell…
