So we’ve had some time to play the campaign whilst the servers are down, so let’s have a look at what has been left behind from the halo 4 campaign. One thing I noticed is no mention of the composer, I had thought at the start that the promethean soldiers were composed from the humans in 4, but I couldn’t find anything linking them. Any other things that bother you that have been changed between 4 and 5?
Composer
Map to all forerunner tech
Halsey allegiances (Yes I count this)
Chief’s search for identity.
The digitized section of earth.
I have no idea the significance of the Halsey intro cutscenes in either 4 or 5. They were never explored further in either game
Wish somebody could explain them to me n
I wish the campaign wasn’t a cat and mouse chase. Sadly.
OP, did you happen to read Halo: Escalation? Off the top of my head at least the composer bit is further explained. Look for ‘The Next 72 Hours’ pt1 & pt2. Also, which promethean soldiers are we talking about, the Knights (which were the main foot soldiers in 4) or the humanoid looking ones that you see a lot in 5. If it is the humanoid ones, I think they were AIs, because the Knights were composed ancient Forerunner soldiers (in the campaign) and later composed humans (at least that’s what they were trying to say in Spartan Ops).
e: Its annoying that small details that change the context of things are hidden in the books (no offence to you, OP, not sure if you’ve read the books).
They kinda forgot about even mentioning Spartan Ops

I’ve been wanting to know the answer to this for so long now…
Haven’t read Escalation, making my way through the kilo 5 trilogy now, and I’ve got New Blood coming
