From what it looks like, the Halo: Infinite is available for pre-order not only from Amazon, but also GameStop and other smaller sites like Adorama.
This should imply we will be getting a release date sooner than we think. I did some research, I came to the conclusion Halo has to release on the 16th of November. It can’t release on the 9th of November or within 7 days of the 9th. So, the 11th is not going to happen as I originally thought. The 2nd won’t happen either. That is the US Election day. No US based video game publisher will release a game on Election Day. The 16th makes the most sense. It is as close to the 15th you can get with still having a Tuesday/Thursday release.
Edit:
Forgot to add a pic of pre-order cases in the UK. See it here.
There is no election in 2021. Midterm elections will happen in 2022, the next presidential election isn’t until 2024. Also, game releases tend to happen on Tuesdays and Fridays. Thursdays are not typically used for game releases.

Some will have elections. Election Day doesn’t mean federal every time. Sometimes the elections are simple bills to states or even local elections. It is also simply a Federal Holiday. Whether an election happens or not.
Edit:
I know Friday is more common in modern days. But look at every Halo ever released. They only released on a Tuesday or Thursday. Every last one. Including Halo: Recruit and Halo: Fireteam Raven.

Neither of those are standard retail games. Both also released on Tuesdays. CE was the only Halo to release on a Thursday, but looking at that year, many games released on days other than Tuesday and Friday. 2001 largely predates the tradition of releasing games Tuesday or Friday, and it’s unlikely that Infinite would release outside of Tuesday or Friday when pretty much every modern game releases on either of those days. Mobile games being the exception, as many mobile games (like Spartan Assault/Strike) release on Thursdays. But Infinite isn’t a mobile game, so safe bet it won’t come out on a Thursday.
Also, Halo 4 released on Election Day (and that was an actual Presidential election). So Infinite could also release on an Election Day. Other games have released on election days as well (Call of Duty AW, for example).
Basically, your predictions have no reasonable backing; precedent goes against pretty much every single one of your points. The 16th of November is no more likely than any other Tuesday during November or December. Personally, I think Nov 16 is unlikely because it feels outside of the holiday season. The holiday season typically begins in late November, and is generally agreed to begin right after Thanksgiving (indicative of when most families begin hanging Christmas lights).

Halo Infinite was originally slated for a November 10th, 2020 release. That was also “Holiday 2020 release” if you remember. The game has to launch before Thanksgiving at a minimum to be available during Black Friday. So, we know a small range of dates.
I do admit mistakes when I make them though. Yes, the 2nd may be a possibility. I forgot about Halo 4 releasing on Election Day. That’s my fault. All I know, is the 9th is not going to happen and I have heavy doubts of the 15th.

Infinite never had a specific release date before the delay. It was “Holiday 2020” up until the announcement of the delay. November 10 was never specified as the 2020 release date. While infinite was originally intended to be a launch title for series x, it’s not like it was ever confirmed to be launching on the exact same day.

Well to be fair, I believe he was referring to the fact Phil Spencer said Series X would launch with Halo Infinite in 2020. So I supposed it kinda confirmed that it’d be out the day Series X was out. Also given the fact that when he said this, there was no release date for the Series X either. So yeah, it’s safe to say HI was originally gonna launch when Series X did.

Man I hope they don’t announce any special editions and opt for a collectors bundle. Seems kinda strange to ask you to buy the game for the collectors content when its a day one gamepass title.
I feel like a bundle with a steel book and making of doc and other goodies plus a dlc code would sell better and be more cost manageable.
“Heres our flagship title with free to play elements and the Big Holiday push for our subscription service also heres a pricey collectors edition for the fans who don’t budget well.”
Just feels like a mixed message when the marketing is all about that value proposition.

Selling a collector’s edition without the game is a way more frustrating practice than selling it with a game that is also on Game Pass. Most fans who are investing in a collector’s edition will want to own the game even when their Game Pass subscription lapses anyway.
I’ve seen a few people now say “140 days until launch”. Not sure where they’re getting that from, but that would be halfway through November and make sense. As for collector editions of the game, unless its an in-store purchase only, I’d rather not give scalpers another item to resell on ebay.

People are either just guessing or trying to get attention. There is no confirmed date, just a window.
