So on the description it says Xbox one and windows 10 compatible… So I am guessing this game will be like Halo Wars two where you can play from PC or Xbox one… So with that I have to ask is this the end of a level playing field in Halo? There is no doubt that hacking games is way easier from a PC so how is 343 going to guarantee that PC modders just don’t crush console players constantly? Also as long as it takes 343 to fix anything I am some what scared for the future of onling gaming for console players. I know it’s all speculation for now but just saying I really hope PC players aren’t matched with console players but I am pretty sure they will be… I foresee some frustration on the horizon.

I am sure it was probably something like oh we will have measures in place to ensure no cheating… But I suppose time tell. I just don’t have to much confidence in that right now.
That could be a problem but I think 343i can take care of it if they do it correctly.
Super Mega Baseball 2 handles this well, it forces everyone to use a controller when participating in the matchmaking system. I realize this info won’t fully quiet your fair start fears, but the info seems relevant.
I don’t think there will be cross play so we shouldn’t have to worry.

I don’t know, they have cross play on Halo wars 2 so I bet they are going to do the same for this game.

HW2 had cross play implemented since the game was dead on PC. I share the same concerns regarding balance between console and PC players.

Not at first. It was more of a last resort thing because like the other guy said, the PC side of things was dead. Plus it was only in a few playlists. Whatever happens, I’m sure 343 will address the issues.

I can’t see them not making cross play optional, they can be dumb but not that dumb.

I wonder how much will be on PC, though. Maybe just an enhanced Forge mode.

Optional/feature specific would be best, like with Campaign, Firefight, or Customs with a toggle to keep them out or force controllers. Putting everyone together everywhere is a no no.
Worked great for Gears 4, after all.
@OP, I think you’re conflating how much cheating is on PC these days, That said the best way for a level playing field is outright splitting competitive between PC and Xbox. Cooperative modes work better with crossplay.
