Looks like I found my new assassination...

I’ve just watched the trailer for Monitor’s Bounty, and I am absolutely stoked to mess around with the new goodies (once I’ve unlocked them first)! The new vehicles look awesome (especially that Hannibal Wasp), and the return of the Grenade Launcher makes it oh-so-sweet. Then the assassinations came along, and well…my jaw was kinda stuck on the floor…

First came Inevitability, then Take out the Trash, then Supernova. The latter really caught my eye…It’s a friggin’ grenade assassination. Praise. The. Heavens.

I love using assassinations that involve your bare hands, but Supernova might become my new favorite. I’ve rocked the following in the past:

  • Lawn Dart - Kneed-ful Things - Windup - Get Low (occasionally) - Nice Try (less frequently)…but Supernova is a whole new caliber of "OUCH". The fact that you hurl away your victim after jamming a Plasma Grenade onto their armor (and leaving them to explode midair in a comical fashion) is both overkill and hilarious at the same time. Though I do wonder if the explosion itself will damage / kill anyone in the immediate vicinity…Halo 5 Mythbusters, perhaps?

With that aside, Monitor’s Bounty is going to be AWESOME. With so much stuff coming along (aside from the reduced Warzone fireteam limit), there’s going to be a bit of something for everyone. See you all on the battlefield! :slight_smile:

Hm, not sure how I feel about a weapon-based assassination. I mean, with the combat knives, they are only used for assassination so you assume they are hidden on the Spartan and there is no way he’d use it outside of assassinations.
With grenades, if you run out of grenades in battle, where is that final grenade coming from for the assassination? Why couldn’t that grenade be used in battle? The context of a grenade-based assassination breaks immersion for me. I’m sure the animation looks cool, but the immersion matters a bit more to me.

It threw me for a trip too when I saw that trailer. I was just kind of like, “Did that just happen?” rewind, and watch again with a smile and a laugh. I think it’s awesome that they added this.
