So I get req points back now any time I open a gold req pack, however I have noticed that there are things I have not unlocked yet. The challenger helmet, the protector stalwart, and of course achilies helmets are not unlocked. How do I unlock challenger and protector stalwart? Also there are a bunch of weapon skins not yet unlocked and a bunch of emblems. I guess the emblems are linked to commendations?

Some emblems are linked to commendations and some are special released or you have to pay for them. I believe the challenger you have to purchase one of the HCS packs if I’m not getting those confused.
Protector Stalwart, Challenger, and several emblems and weapon skins can only be obtained through HCS Team specific packs. As a note, it seems like the CLG pack has now been removed to be replaced by the Team EnVyUs pack.

Challenger and the skins had to be bought with actual money during the period those packs were active. Stalwart hasn’t been released yet to my knowledge and yes the emblems are linked to commendations.
Kinda sad that you need to spend $ to unlock everything. Thought everything could be earned. Guess that was a lie.

Actually, I should amend my previous statement. Challenger was originally available in a free pack when the HCS World Championship was happening. Now, however, the only way to obtain is through payment only packs.

Yeah, I’m not really happy about it either. I mean, I guess it’s because portions of the proceeds from these packs go to the specific teams, and making them available with RP means that the pro teams see nothing for letting 343 use their logos. Still makes me pretty sad, because I am a completionist.

You can still unlock all the base content through REQ packs and commendations. The HCS team packs you have to pay for because proceeds of that money go towards the team(s). 343 didn’t lie so you can calm down there kiddo. Plus, those packs are optional, you don’t need them.
