Is it me or does the campaign look very bland. Typical go here and liberate this base, rescue these marines, eliminate these targets…
Hope that there’s some good variation in the encounters and mission styles. The open world needs to be worth including by having varied and original encounters/activities, not just a copy paste of ubisofts formula.
I assume there’ll be more scripted “classic” linear missions… I just hope that the open world isn’t boring like in every Assassins creed/Far Cry.
Make me want to explore! Not wince at the idea.
Looks un-inspired.
It’ll probably be fun for a while but people will move on pretty quick I think.
I very much doubt that clearing endless banished bases and hunting targets like assassins creed will stand the test of time like one of Halo’s iconic levels like “The Covenant” From Halo 3.

You don’t know that… They said a while ago that enemies will spawn with the right weapons to deal with whatever gear the players using, so if you’re using a wasp all the time you’ll encounter a lot more enemies with AA weapons

So you agree that it looks bland? And you aren’t bothered?
Or are you just dismissing my concerns instead of having a productive conversation to help improve the series we both love…

Well I hope the main missions are something special for me to put up with another 30 hours of liberating bases haha!
Just feels like something we’ve all done 1000 times now.
Hope i’m wrong though and it is good… Just feel like a lot of people are getting caught up in the hype.
Halo was one of the few games that DEMANDED to be like this ten years ago and never was for some reason. Seems like they are finally embracing the full gameplay potential of the brand.
Lots of open world games are generic beacuse they don’t need to be open world, they are made like that just for marketing and to diluite repetitive and bland gameplays. The situation with halo is quite the opposite, It was screaming “open world” from Halo CE day 1. It was about time.

Is exactly what Halo Infinite looks like.
I loved everything I saw, we needed new stuff in the Halo universe. yes, it looks like a far cry formula, but if done well I don’t see a problem with that. I’m just hoping for a wide variety of missions and objectives, plus a co-op is very welcome.

…Okay… you play games in a generation where ideas are inspired by one another in there own version. I dont see how this free roam game can exceed what you expect to be aboslutrly different. Only using an idea and turning there best design they can. What did you expect this open world stylr to be like?

halo’s gameplay has never been bland and repetitive and infinite seems to be no exception. They are building an open world upon a gameplay that needed it for years, not just as a gimmick to cover the lack of it.
The trailer only made me sure, I’ll use gamepass to play it and that’s it. Nothing shown makes me want to play it besides “Yo it’s Halo I must play it”. I realy hope the writing will be able to pull the overall gameplay. I just despise open world shooters.
There will be more “classic scripted” missions, that’s been confirmed for a long while.
The open world area with banished bases definitely play a role in the story but that’s not everything you’re going to be doing in the game.
Most open world FPS games have enemy bases, people to save & random encounters. It’s hardly a surprise that Halo Infinite has them too.

That is my exact point!
Just because most FPS games follow a formula why does Halo have to?
Do you not remember when Halo set trends? Not followed them.
