Looks familiar...

Kind of pointless and certainly not original, but I still find it absolutely hilarious.

Back in the good ol’ days when we were all waiting for Halo 3, people complained about how much Halo 2 supposedly sucked compared to Halo 1, and how Halo 3 should have been more like Halo 1.

Some years passed, Reach was announced and people started talking about how much Halo 3 supposedly sucked compared to Halo 2, and how Reach should have fixed that by being more like Halo 2.

Now Halo 4 is coming, and people are saying that Reach sucked and the game should be more like Halo 3.

I think it’s more probable that each game have it strenghts and weaknesses, and players tend to have an overly idealized memory of past titles and an overly critical vision of present ones.

It seems natural to ask how the Halo series managed to went this far with each title being even more successfull than the previous, if all this people really think that each game was a wretched abomination compared to the one that preceded it.

Every halo game>Reach

People want what THEY want. Bungie would change something and it would be “HORRIBLE!!” but then when the next game came out, everyone grew to like that game, Bungie would change something, and it would be “HORRIBLE!!” again. It’s just a cycle that I’m waiting for it to be broken and everyone love the game.
