So similar to the Beta the first ten games determine where you will be placed i’m an avid competitive player who’s friends have since stopped playing halo so i’m looking to get the best rank possible on day one if there are any competitive players out there looking to have a decent team on day one comment below!
During the beta I placed Onyx-3, so I’m hoping to kick butt again and get placed that high for the first month so I don’t have to work forever up the ladder. Needless to say, by the end of the beta I was all the way at the bottom of the onyx division lol.

After I beat the campaign, I will go straight to multiplayer and hopefully get Onyx-2 again to start off with.
I think I’m gonna have to put some game time in and get use to all the new mechanics and controls before I try for ranked. I think I gotta change my bottom layout due to all the new stuff.
Best way to get the better starting rank is WAIT 24 hours before going into Arena. Let some of the great players get out of your way. Most good competitive players don’t care about campaign or warzone, they are going to drive straight into Arena.
I recall running into at least 5 PROs in Halo 2 when it released because we started right away in Team Slayer. Because running into BlackJack, Orges, ManTrain, Roy, etc. the first 2 hours blew donkey. I’m an above average player but PROs are on a completely different level.

That won’t be possible, Onyx - 2 isn’t even a rank anymore. Onyx is going to be like top 1K -2K or so players.
Onyx in the BETA is going to be around Diamond 2 - Plat 3
Semi-PRO will more than likely be Plat 3 - Onyx
PRO ratings will be Plat 1 - Champion

Can anyone explain exactly how the ranking system works on Halo 5 and what the levels are? Sorry to be a pain, i just didn’t play the beta and haven’t seen yet…

i’ve beaten quite a few pros in my halo 3 days that being said it was always when they were going in alone. yeah ill add you!

thats funny im the opposite i had terrible teammates so i lost alot of games right away and ended up being Gold? i think thats what it was but i ended the beta in semi pro
