Which of these 3 do you think you’ll end up using most?
The DMR? Gotten used to Reach’s primary firearm choice? Looking for range? Loving it’s super-slick new look?
The BR? Want to relive your glory days with this awesome 3 shot burst weapon? Think you’re going to be needing it for some closer engagements? Never got a chance to play with it in H3, but you think you’ll like it anyway?
The Carbine? Want to add some Covie tech to your arsenal? Can’t wait to rack up some headshots with this fast-firing semi-auto precision weapon? Like it because it’s purple?
What’s your choice, and your reason behind it?
(Geez, I could become a glorified weapons’ dealer with a few more of these lines. My parents would be so proud.)
I have loved the DMR ever since I first picked it up in the Halo: Reach Beta and the changes that have been displayed so far for the DMR just make me more excited to use it!
BR for most situations, it’s been a reliable weapon for me since Halo 2 and nostalgia, but it could support more rounds, maybe another clip or two to the max ammo count.
Ah man, you’re cool. You included an AR choice. Although there will be other weapons in the game, at least you took the time to point out that the game shouldn’t be based around 3 precision weapons (or 1 precision weapons based on the responses on this forum). That was real nice of you.

(Attempt to talk in gun dealer-ish voice)
Well sir, I got the thing for you!
I got this handy dandy ammo upgrade perk that allows you to carry a few extra mags, and all for the convenient price of 1-2 Spartan Points!
Back on topic: All of them :D, cause I love making loadouts for all situations.
I’m liking the responses. They all seem to have different uses and I think it’s going to revolve more so around people’s play-styles.
Once the game comes out, I’m sure it will be a matter of time before everyone gets that one weapon that will be their trusty sidekick. (Either that, or you’ll be its sidekick, you’re nothing without that weapon, man).
I’ll be curious to see how many people choose the AR or Storm Rifle, because they will dominate up close.
Where’s my Light Rifle, Storm Rifle, and possibly forerunner Repeater options at? But I am sure I will be playing around with all of them depending on my mood.
Light Rifle. Promethean Repeater. ANYTHING Promethean. If I suck with them, then I’ll make myself a god with them. And the carbine. Been there for me in some tight spots!

No, my friend, you are the “cool” one. Let me break this down into pieces for you. He only listed those weapons, because those are the weapons, that we know of, in the same category making a return. The fact that you think he means that there will be no other weapons in the game but the ones that he listed, really amuses me. I made a topic like this a while back and you said the same thing. I also told you the same thing I’m telling you right now. Please, don’t act like the topic is misleading.
I don’t see any close range disadvantages with the DMR over the BR. I think the BR will be more popular in the first three or four months and then drop off rapidly in favor of the DMR. More range and faster kill time. Which would you choose?
Where’s the All of the Above option? The DMR and Carbine look beastly, especially the Carbine, and I’m looking forward to using the BR again. The Light Rifle looks really cool as well.
