LOOKING FOR GOOD PLAYERS TO MAKE A FIREFIGHT TEAM

Short version: I need some good players who understand the nuances of the game type to add to play Warzone Firefight with in order to grind out the WZFF victory commendation and get the gold packs.

Really long rambly version: I’m really trying to finish up the Warzone Firefight Victory commendation so I can get the 6 additional gold req packs in time for a mass opening session with all my saved golds as soon as I finish grinding silvers (only ten more common/uncommon items to go–yay!). I’m on the last tier of the commendation, but it takes a whopping SIXTY victories! And I’m currently losing half or more of the games I play. Some of that is due to the few stupid hard objectives, cruddy spawn locations, and ridiculous respawn timers. I can’t control those things. The only two things I can control are my own gameplay and the people I play with. I usually do pretty well in WZFF (I’ve been first place in 7 of the last 8 firefights I’ve played and I was second in the other one). But just playing with normal random matchmaking, there are usually 1-3 players who either have no idea what is going on, or just aren’t good. At all. I’m talking about the people with 8 kills at the end of the fifth round. I was playing yesterday, trying to get a tank all the way across the map on Apex 7 to start hitting the stupid Grunt Mech (those stupid spawn locations again), and one player in a ghost just crawled along with me doing nothing THE ENTIRE WAY. He could have boosted over and been putting damage on the boss long before I got there, but nope. And yes, we lost that objective. I want to stop that kind of thing. I believe a good fire team who are all calling in reqs and communicating and working together can really do some work in WZFF. I know we wouldn’t win every game, but it would sure be better than losing game after game. I don’t care about being in first place every game (although I would give it the ol’ college try), I don’t care about using nice reqs on the game type, and I don’t care about good players having an occasional bad game (Lord knows I have more than my fair share). I care about winning games. And to increase the chances of that, I want to put together a good team that can work together and keep the trolls and noobs culled from the group (and no offense meant to the noobs).

I have even considered putting together a Spartan Company to these ends, but I assume that can be a lot of work to do cold turkey. That’s why I wanted to see who on here would be of a similar inclination as I am and want to get together to grind out WZFF wins. I have a very busy life outside of Halo but make an effort to get games in almost every day, usually in the early mornings (Mountain Time) and in the evenings. I’m not talking about an uptight company with training sessions and tons of requirements and everything, just decent players getting together when possible to win firefights and have some relaxed fun together doing it. I prefer to keep the comms fairly clean during the game. We all get frustrated but it’s hard for me to enjoy a game when someone is angrily screaming obscenities every few seconds. On the flip side, my daughters can occassionaly be rather loud when I am on the comms. We all have lives, you know? Anyway, we can all work toward those extra gold req packs together. I even plan to play WZFF after I have the commendation unless I’ve come to absolutely hate it by then lol. Anyone down for something like this? Sound off below if so and let’s get the ball rolling! Otherwise I’ll just keep grinding the games–and my teeth–all alone lol.

I was feeling rambly. Excellent. Thanks!

Add me too. I do pretty well in FF. Always top 3ish. Grinding my FF commendation as well. Don’t always use mic, but do work without it lol.

Sounds good, man. I usually use mic just if there is someone else using one.
