Hey thanks for clicking on my topic!
I’ve been playing fps games for quite a while now (way over a decade) and have experienced just about all that the gaming industry has to offer. I personally love first person shooter games, but I think that they almost all lack one major feature: the organization of large amounts of players into a social and competitive environment. Over the years I’ve gone through a multitude of clans but they usually aren’t organized well enough to host tournaments or do anything particularly fun other than just matchmaking together.
So getting back to my topic thread title, i’m looking for maybe 2-3 people who can help me to set up a large organization with a very clear and efficient structure that revolves around community game-play (matchmaking), fun events such as custom games, tournaments both large and small, and offering a place of belonging for gamers of all kinds.
Do not mistake this organization for a clan! I do not want this to become a clan with some sort of ranking system where there is some specific leader. I also do not want there to be any skill requirements to join. However, I do hope that people create their own clans within the organization in order to create more competitive opportunities. If you aren’t understanding what I’m going for here try to think of it like this, the organization we will be building is like the Earth, and the people within the organization are free to make clans of their own which are like nations on the Earth. Make sense? I hope so.
If you’ve made it through all of this text then you are a trooper and I thank you for it. So without further ado here are the requirements:
(You must answer yes to all of these questions)
-Do you get on Xbox live every day?
It is important that you do in order to make sure you stay up to date with the organization.
-Do you have a strong love for almost every genre of games?
While we will be focusing primarily on FPS games, we will not exclude other genres such as strategy games, racing games, arcade games (like minecraft) and any other genre that our members can come up with.
-Do you have a strong internet connection?
It would be so sad if you were a perfect candidate to help me, but your connection was awful and we could never play online together.
-Do you have a friendly/calm personality?
I work best with these types of people. I can’t work with people who are very loud.
-Do you have a mic?
I would strongly (strongly strongly strongly strongly) prefer a mic over a kinect.
-Do you have a strong urge to build a community with me and a few others?
Of all things this is definitely the most important. I need people who are dedicated to this and will not quit as soon as things become difficult.
If you have answered yes to all of these questions, I would again like to thank for you going through all of this text (seriously this took me a while to type) and I would like to urge you to contact me as soon as possible at my XBL gamertag “Odin the Fierce”.
Sincerely,
Odin.
