I’m in college and people use my Xbox all the time and I understand that. But I logged onto my account today and every armor item was unlocked and after every game it displays a message that says my online XP has been maxed out. I contacted both Microsoft and Xbox Live and they sent me to this forum. I do not want to get banned for this offence, I simply want my account reset. I have yet to figure out how this happened or who did it but when I do I will most definitely make it clear not to do it again. If my account has to be reset to SR1 I will understand, but I do not want a ban from this, I just want to enjoy the game the way it was made to be played and this completely restricts that ability. If anyone on here can give me a number or email of someone who I can contact I would be more than pleased. I hope I can get this worked out. Thank you.
You probably won’t be able to get in direct contact with a 343 game developer but us fellow users can try to ease your mind. Yesterday I believe there were some server issues with Halo 3, Halo: Reach, Spartan Assault and because of that I would assume Halo 4.
I’ve looked at your profile and it says you’re still an SR24 and as far as I know 343/Microsoft does not reset profiles for people who ask for them. Usually for that sorta thing you’ve gotta make a new profile.
My advice to you is to keep calm and just wait a day or two and see what happens. If you get banned then don’t panic, just return to the site and make another thread or pop a reply in this one. Again, I truly don’t think this is anything you need to seriously worry about.
Thanks for the response. If I get banned will it be from Xbox Live or will my Halo Account just get banned?
I just don’t think the game would glitch and give me all of the armor in the game. When I play a match and finish it I don’t receive any XP it just tells me I can’t have any more XP online. So I can’t even level up the way my account is. Thanks again

Haha no if I wanted to hack my account I would try and draw as little attention to my account as possible but I see where you’re coming from
Best thing to do is to delete your Halo 4 game save. Don’t worry, your online SR progress is synchronized with Xbox Live/Waypoint, so you won’t lose that. You will lose your Campaign progress (Commendations are unaffected) and your loadouts may be reset, but if someone modded your profile, that’s the best way to fix it.
But my commendations are at 100% and I want that to be reset as well. Will that get rid of the XP message and armor though?

Apparently people have now recently figured out how to mod EXP, unlock old playlists, mod playlists and so on in Halo 3. If you are unlucky you could end up with 130k exp after a game - Many players has tons of exp already, and you can find them in both Social and Ranked.
