A few of my friends and I are looking for active players who share a common goal: ranking up in Halo 5 by playing firefight. If you are willing to join us in this epic grind for SR ranks, here are the minimal requirements:
Must have a reasonable amount of vehicle REQs (in case we get a difficult round or play Mythic FF)
Must be willing to play all Halo 5 firefight difficulties (including Mythic on the weekends)
Must join our Discord server (this will be used as our central hub for players to contact each other to play. It’s just a big text chatroom where we can organize play sessions and contact each other easier than Xbox Live messaging. You can use the app on your phone or computer)

I have a fair amount of vehicles but not stuff like warthogs i have none of those and I dont just grab vehicles whenever and where ever. Most rounds I find vehicles not necessary but when I do pull one out its for a specific strategic play. My best examples are a banshee for the 2x knights + 2x wardens at the end of urban (or the 2x knights 2x wardens on sanctum) or a standard wraith for sniping 2x red knights on darkstar. Does that invalidate me from being considered?
Also Discord, how does that work in terms of playing via xbox or is this a PC only thing? is halo 5 even on PC?

Theres a discord app that a lot of people use to join up with like minded gamers. You join their channel and discuss things and look for people to play with(on any platform).
Halo 5’s limited forge mode is available on PC but that is it.

discord on xbox or some other device? I have discord on my computer have used it for minecraft or farming simulator.

Great questions. The vehicle situation is pretty much situational, outlined by what you said. If we’re playing a relatively difficult round such as the 2x Knight/2x Warden round on Sanctum, I would expect everyone to REQ some kind of vehicle. Or on weekends if we’re trying to play Mythic Firefight (which is 2x EXP), it’s in everyone’s best interest to use wraiths and tanks during the later rounds due to the difficulty curve of those rounds. Basically, we would just like to play with players who are situationally aware of the rounds. 90% of the rounds in non-mythic are not REQ intensive when in larger parties anyways. Either way, this makes games go by much quicker and allows everyone to use less REQs. Halo 5 is only on console (the multiplayer at least).
Discord is something I wasn’t too specific on, which I will edit in a second. We’re using the discord server as a hub for players to contact each other to play and schedule sessions. It’s far more efficient than sending out messages on Xbox live, since it puts everyone in one place. You can use discord on your phone or computer, all you’d have to do is check the server’s text channel for people looking to play. I hope I answered your questions.

Enroj did a great job answering this. But yeah, basically you could use Discord on your phone or computer. All you need it for is to check out server’s text channel to see if players are looking to schedule play sessions. Or to see if anyone is playing and wants to make a party. It’s basically an easier way for players to contact each other for coordinated play, that’s all.
