Looking for a Machinima clan

Hello! I have loved machinima since my introduction to it in season 1 of Red vs Blue. I’m looking for a group of people willing to accept me into the production of a machinima. I’m willing to be a body actor, but I’d love to collaborate with some writers and help with the actual creative process of the video. This would be the first time I’d be involved in the production of a machinima but I’m certain I would be helpful. I have no credentials or anything, just a freelancer looking for some creative fun!

Most Machinima Directors out there these days aren’t the sort of people you’d really want to talk to if I’m honest with you. I’ve spent a few games in the presence of a few of them and I was very shocked at how they treated people and spoke to each other in general.

For example, there’s a Machinima Series made by a user named Arbiter617 called Rise of the Spartans and in it there’s a character (who’s name escapes me) that someone online has taken credit for. Basically they’re acting as if they were really the character and taking credit from the original voice actor.

Normally one would consider this to be a minor annoyance to just ignore. One would be wrong. I won’t mention any names but three or four directors in the community became online bullies towards this guy, insulting him at every chance they got.

I don’t know the full story but I can’t imagine it being justified and while that is only a few directors out there the point still stands of some directors being horrible people in general. I suppose it depends on opinion but I wouldn’t hang around those guys if my life depended on it, much less help them make content.

While I haven’t made anything (yet) I’m still open to ideas and collaborations if you still want to do stuff.

I find people like that to be horrible. Machinima should be about fun and the creative process of the project. That’s sad that people do stuff like that…

Oops, never mind. Read that out of context.

What?

Unfortunately this is what the majority of Directors are like now. :I
