I have never used Forge in any of the previous Halo games but i’m really interested in getting into it and spending some time. Seems like a really cool feature.
Anybody have a recommendation of a video / link of where i can get the basics. Fully understand that nothing will be out for the Halo5 version but i’m sure a lot of the basics are the same.
Any help would be appreciated, i jumped into Forge last night and was completely overwhelmed.
I wouldn’t bother watching any videos for older versions of forge as the Halo 5 version is vastly different. It is a lot more complex and has a steep learning curve whereas previous versions where much easier to mess around in and start creating.

well thanks for that, saved me from wasting some time. Guess i’ll just have to dive into it this weekend and learn by trial and error.

I mostly played forge in Halo 3 when it was at its most basic, making maps involved a lot of improvisation but it was still fun. Putting the two versions side by side shows just how advanced Halo 5 forge is.
I also played it last night and was completely overwhelmed. After about an hour I got a little better at it but for the first ten minutes I was getting angry because I couldn’t pick anything up haha.
sounds familiar. Some type of a tutorial or a quick how to “step by step” build would have been nice.
