T3k here out of the Midwest of the U.S.A. I am a fairly seasoned Halo vet (been active since I dragged my post-surgery full of anesthesia teenage self into the local Target retailer to buy my first Xbox that launched with the original Halo: Combat Evolved back in November, 2001). It was worth leaving the hospital early for.
I’m finally making the dive in to start playing competitively and am looking for 3 other players who are in the same position - seeking team members.

It looks like you haven’t played in quite some time. Your game history says your last match was last year in may. Are you waiting for a full team to start playing or?..
I took a break over the Summer to work on cryptocurrency projects. Halo is like riding a bike for me, comes right back.
I’m not waiting for a full 4-person team necessarily, but I definitely want to connect with 3 fairly good players who are looking for a team to participate in the championships, as well. I screwed my K/D ratio in Halo 5 from messing around too much on racing maps, but from a tournament perspective I’d be full on with my A-game since money is on the line.

I’m from California. Kdr doesn’t matter Much when you play in the higher divisions. Especially since dying happens way more often since the players are as good if not better than yourself. The thought of competing has always interested me, but I never have competed before. This is the first halo that I actually have tried to get better on, but only in an individual way since I play alone most of the time. I think I’d be pretty decent if I learned all the call outs and stuff, but…idk. I’m also an older guy, with life stuff lol .
You want to get on board with the actual pro players though? I prob won’t ever get that good. Might be too late for a guy in his 30s haha but idk man. I can’t say I’ve ever really got down with 3 other players amd actually learned the ins and outs of maps, call outs, and all the strategies. So it’s kinda like you never know in a sense.
California eh? Sounds like that weather is making you too comfortable, haha. We just gout out of a -45 degree cold snap this entire past two weeks. I am actually turning 30 in a month! So you can’t use age as an exucse. I do have outisde life commitments too, of course, but when a hobby can net you $1M at the end of the year if you win, I’m willing to put more emphasis on that hobby lol. It would take me over ten years in my current IT role to make that kind of income, and I just don’t wanna be that old guy on his hospital bed saying “what if” you know? What would be funny is if we could recruit two other 30-somethin year olds to make a genuinely groovy group. What would we call ourselves the NQM. “Not Quite Millennials” or F30, “Flirty 30’s”
Haha. For reals tho, when I hear how cold is is elsewhere I’m like, holy crap. If you remove the negative symbol from that -45 and turned it into 45 I’d consider that too cold lol.
Man…I’d love to do something I love and win that kinda money. I don’t think I got a chance in hell at it though. I’m not that good at this game. Really wish I was sometimes. I played like garbage the past few hours. I’m kinda tired, so I wamt to blame it on that, but I’m just sugar coating it for myself man. You really think that goals possible though? The top players are insanely good man.
