I know my version of Halo 5 wouldʻnt happen. But I put my heart into theorizing a better and more creative version of Halo 5 for a while and decided to write it in this forum. If you give the time to read, I would be most thankful! Thank you.
Iʻm sure everyone knows what they were going to expect in Halo 5 before the game launched. But I recently went through a run through of all the games chronological order (skipping Halo wars) and when I got to Halo 4, it made me think… The idea of Master Chief questioning his existence as a machine with 0 human assets was so great!
Too bad it didnʻt work out. Though I wonder how it would have played out if they went with it. I would have kept Master Chief going rogue. THAT, would be a great attention getter to everyone. Though I would be be in the complete minority with this: I think we shouldʻve played Spartan Team Osiris missions much longer/better.
Reason why woudnʻt be because “its a main game and its supposed to be about Master Chief”, but, the story will still be about Master Chief. We will just be solving the reason why he goes Rogue in the perspective of Spartan Team Osiris tracking his whereabouts. You see, the reason why Chief goes rogue will not be revealed, but, slowly throughout the campaign. My idea will be taking the formula of Halo 3: ODST and AC Odysseyʻs exploration mode and implementing them throughout the missions of Osiris. This is the type of game in Halo 5 I think everyone would play below:
Minus the large free roaming, each Osiris mission will be a relatively moderate size of the map. Spartan Team Osiris will be in the same areas on the map that Chief came through, just, starting a different angle and will have to free roam through the moderate size map to beat the mission. Throughout the mission of Osiris, you will have to find relatively small clues of Master Chiefʻs tracks that lead to a few more small clues around the map. If you played AC Odyssey on exploration mode, each clue in Halo 5 will give you a hint on where the next clue is, but, never exactly. Each clue is like the objective. Youʻd have to read the clue on the objectives tab to find where it couldʻve came from and find that area on the map to find the next clue/objective. In the end, it would leave to the final major clue that ends the mission and gives Osiris the conclusion of where Chief had went towards. Each clue on every mission will not just find the whereabouts of Chief, but, on why he couldʻve gone rogue in the first place. And since the maps will be moderate in size, there will be arsenal laying around to help you through the map. This is going to be the gameplay formula for all the Osiris missions. Since Osiris isnʻt that likable, this at least make their gameplay enjoyable and possibly make them likable.
Then, the mission after Osiris will be Chiefʻs/Blue teamʻs perspective earlier in the map. Though, Chiefʻs missions wonʻt be free roam. They will be the simple Halo formula of going to objective A to B to C. Missions will still be long though. As playing Chief, you wonʻt be revealed the reason why he goes Rogue at all. You will be simply in his shoes on the missions that Osiris are on just at an earlier point in time. Finding anything relatively major in Chiefʻs missions will be revealed in the Osiris missions before Chief missions. But f****inding the reason of why Chief goes rogue will be through the clues you find throughout the campaign on Osiris missions. When playing as Chief, you will only be revealing what Master Chief was doing there in the first place, how each clue was placed, and why he went to the next certain area at the end of the mission. So, playing as Chief would give you a clear version on what happened before Osiris got to that area. This is the formula for Chiefʻs Missions. I know people love playing Chief more, but an enjoyable campaign with a story is what I strive more for than who I get to play learning it.
In the end, this is how the campaign shouldʻve played. I believe it fits the advertisement of finding why Chief went rogue, the believe trailer, and gives enjoyment on playing Osiris by also giving them time to develop. However, my version of the campaign will not be speaking about anything major info like Cortana being alive, fighting Warden Eternal, or traveling wherever. Just on how it shouldʻve played. Feel free to leave your opinions on my campaign but please, donʻt stray off to different subjects of your own idea. Leave that to your own forum. If you read my whole forum, I am most grateful!
