Looking away from the main Halo Universe, I do like the Halo series so far

If im not comparing this to the original Halo story, and stop caring about the nitpicking problems like Cortana not being all blue, the CGI, I do wonder how the Halo series will move forward.

SPOILER

Master Chief going rogue was something I was not expecting so early. There really wasn’t much they were explaining on the first episode besides grounding out all the characters and their position in the story. My current problem is that it doesn’t give any idea to what episode 2 is going to be or the rest of the season. I hope they can actually produce a good story. We already had one rogue chief story that was wasted, I am curious about round 2.

I think my main problem though is how he revealed his face. He was supposed to be portrayed younger but the dude still looks 40. I get it’s an alternate universe but now I will have an idea what Chief could look like in the main canon universe…

Knowing that the TV show is non game canon and is a part of it’s own timeline I must say I throughly enjoyed episode 1. I think this will be an amazing series and I’m loving what I’ve watched thus far.

The only aspect of this show that I am happy about right now is the special effects and the fact its not cannon. Im glad you can turn your critic off to watch. But honestly I wanted a Halo show. This show looks like halo but the story right now just feels like a generic modern show . I could run down the check list but Im not wanting to be inflammatory. It just doesn’t feel like halo. I get they wanted their own timeline, the show runners wanted creative license. But it’s feels just like they had more ego than creativity.

Well I’m glad it’s non canon.
But it got the same weakness as the Witcher TV Series… Like some witches were black [which were clearly white in book and game] and same now for Captain Keys and his daughter… Imagine how people would react if a black character would be white… This political correctness is such a bad thing

It’s good eye candy for a content starved audience and that’s about all we can expect from it I think.
