Every single thread is a constant war between haters and supporters. This isn’t halo. Halo is a community of people who help each other when they need it and having friendly slayer matches. No wonder everyone keeps leaving. Everyone has grown so cold-hearted that we have forgotten who we are. We are halo fans, and I know we are better than this. We just have to rise above this and remember who we are.
Congratulations, welcome to the internet, prepare to have your naivete shattered by hateful comments and cruel remarks, all while those who sling them hide safely and smugly behind the anonymity provided by usernames.
I, meanwhile, have discovered that flamewars are great for making s’mores, and rather fun to watch.
I am a very sad person…
Ah. Well. Discuss the thread. I’m tired. I’ll be back in the morning to see how it went.
I’ll save you some s’mores. Also, if you truly are new to the internet (Somehow) look up rule 34… Evil Grin

lol, figure that out. Makes me laugh in a way. However, most of it is true.
I’ve been playing Halo since I was a kid, ever since it came out. Ive enjoyed every Halo game thus far, even Halo 4. I have complaints yes, but i dont care to spend all day -Yoinking!- about them.
Games today are much more accesible. A younger generation of gamers has emerged, along with people who have to get their way (more or less the same people).
Gamers arent gamers anymore, they cant be satisfied with change, they cant be satisfied with keeping things the same. Everyone wants something different, but they dont want anything changed, or not enough has been changed.
So many contradictions with gamers nowadays. They want so much yet its never enough.
I enjoy Halo 4, and i wish others could too. Yeah i want changes, but i can wait it out. Ive waited it out for 11-12 years.
People here call themselves “Die hard” or “Real” Halo fans. Yet they abandon the game.
I know how i feel about Halo, it hasnt changed. I love it, i will always love it. I get emotional during the cutscenes, my heart races during them as well, including the fights in MP.
What else can i say? Ill wait out the rough times, even if the rough times are all of these “fans” constantly -Yoinking!- about everything that they “deserved” but didnt recieve.
We got Halo, we got another entry to an amazing series, with one of the best developed universes in gaming history. And that is enough for me, i roll with what i get. And i enjoy it. I dont understand why its so hard for other people to as well. But hey, do what you will, ill just sit back and be disgusted at your childish behaviour. As it will never change. Ever.
I remember way back when it was Xbox vs. PS2, Halo vs Killzone, Master chief vs Link ( a cookie for the one who remembers that lol)
Now? Now either side of the community is ready and willing to bite off the heads of those who go against their way of thinking. I’m well aware that its not everyone here, though it is a good portion of either side.
Before I get jumped on saying I’m a 343 “fanboy”. I have my issues and concerns for Halo 4 myself, a majority of them are shared throughout the community others are of a more personal level. But I don’t go around spreading hate for the game.
I just have patience, more-so than some others on this forum. I’ll wait to see what 343’ next steps lead to before I make my final decision of Halo 4.
Who knows? This could turn out to be the next Halo 2. If not, oh well.

Of that Oracle, we are in agreement.

Why should people trust 343I when 343I already indicated the direction they want the game to take when they released it?
I still stay the course though, although it means hundreds of supporters will inevitably say “Then why are you still here, shutup or quit the forums”
Really no way to win. If you hate the game and quit you aren’t “a true fan”. If you hate the game but stay, you are criticized for staying.
And it was going so well… ah well, whatever. This is the natural order of things, I suppose. Indignant -Yoinks!- making snide remarks insulting {Insert whatever they disagree with here} only for supporters of it to take offense to the comment and (This is important) BOTH SIDES begin verbally beating each other with fish.
I was told to come here… I heard there was going to be s’mores…
Just a normal process, eventually the only people left will be the ones that love it…for me im definately quitting when i hit 130, but ill still -Yoink- about it on the forums until then.
I have stuff for making s’mores, now we just have to wait for a flame war… Shouldn’t be too long now.

Ive been saying this for about 2 months now its not going to happen any time soon unless a large amount of the community atarts adopting this.

Ah, I didnt use the word “trust” in my statement. I just mean I’m willing to see how far 343’s direction takes them & Halo 4.
I find no problem with those who remain here on the forums, but are displeased with the game, so long as they are willing to be civil in their discussion (thats rare on the internet lol). Its the posters who offer nothing, at all that could be considered constructive who I, and most others here are tired of seeing.
Same can be said for the other side of the community. There are those who enjoy the game, maybe even love the game, but they accept that the game may not appeal to everyone and are willing to discuss certain points of the game. Then… there are those who can see a well written out post on points as to why the OP is displeased with the game and even offers solutions and/or compromises he/she feels would better the game, only to reply with, " If you dont like it play something else". That to me is just as bad as the flamers that frequent here.
It’s like two parents arguing over their kid.
Gamers aren’t even true gamers anymore, the fact that we are comparing halo to cod (Sci-fi:Realistic) means that we just want an excuse to say that we are better than other people. Remember when games were competitive and fun, not people raging whenever they lost. Those were the days of true gaming.
Anyways (got a little sidetracked) Halo players are still halo players. We just have to change with the game.
Look at whats happen to us? Look at whats happend to the Gaming Industry in the past couple of years.
