Look sensitivity glitch

Hello, I have a glitch to report. At first I didn’t even realize it was going on. I would aim at someone trying to shoot them, then while tracking them, my sensitivity changes to a much slower pace. At first I thought nothing of it. Eventually it started getting more and more problematic the more I noticed it. I would try to turn around to engage someone sprinting up on me, but the sensitivity goes way down and I can’t turn fast enough, then I die. It also happens in melee battles when I have to track someone circling me. I went to a custom game with a friend in an attempt to figure out the problem, and I think I know what it is:

Halo 4 has sensitivity customization from 1 to 10 as everyone who plays it probably knows. The horizontal sensitivity is much quicker than the vertical sensitivity, you can test this yourself. The sensitivity I use is the default 3. I can spin horizontally at that set pace, and look up and down at that set pace. If however, I blend the two motions together, as you usually have to to play any shooter game, the much slower vertical sensitivity is applied to the faster horizontal sensitivity. This causes your Spartan to spin at a very slow speed, greatly hindering your turning and aiming in general.

You can test it yourself. Just start spinning (I found it happens more often for me if I’m spinning left) and then start rolling the joystick slightly up and down. It seems to blend the different sensitivities into one slow one, and will last until you either stop spinning, or you are lucky enough to somehow get out of it. This annoying glitch has gotten me killed in Halo 4 many times, and all my friends have noticed it too, especially now since I pointed it out to them. It’s not my controller, we tested it on many different ones. I play on bumper jumper, one friend of mine pays on recon, my other friends play on default and it all happens to them too. We have a variety of sensitivity settings, whether we play inverted (like I do) or default, it happens to all of us.

Is anyone else out there having this problem as well? If you think you never have, test it out in a custom game, I bet it has gotten you killed plenty of times. If anyone knows anything else about it, or is having this problem too, post it here! Maybe 343 will fix it if it is brought to their attention! Thank you very much. See you on the battlefield!

This is due to the aim acceleration algorithms in the game. Every time you look in a direction, your aim speed accelerates up to your sensitivity. When you roll the joystick, the game sees that you are starting to aim in a new direction, and thus decelerates the sensitivity and starts it over at the slower speed. It is definitely a problem, but not a glitch per say. Instead, I think that your aim should never decelerate unless you let go of the joystick completely.
